everytime he has died he's been murdered in combat specifically, Nothing tells us that any death will trigger a regression; it may be specific to his will to get stronger. if he kills himself, it may be taken as a sign of giving up and he won't regress. And we haven't seen anything like poison or even entertained the thought of when he dies from a sickness or old age, would he just be stuck forever on his deathbed?

welp knowing this series, everyone else is going to fight ink, then YK reawakens and hits creation realm, a few chapters of explanation/talking with mu or some other ancient great one that gave YK the revelation he needed, then another final fight and a half assed ending where its just "oh we beat ink" and nothing conclusionary with the series. at least another year left.
