It's not such an obvious mistake, since it was repeated twice for a speech bubble between a female and male character while the bubble itself does not point towards any character. It's an honest mistake to make if you don't fully read and understand the chapter while proofreading.

I've also had some experience with series' without proofreading + MTL and they are god awful, there has to be proofreading but maybe not a good one for this team.

Yo to confirm, I investigated a bit and I concluded it's most probably MTL yes but perhaps with a non-native english proofreader since the mistakes made in the translations are minor ones a native wouldn't make but not so bad that there would be no proofreader.

Also just saying, this is korean not Japanese even though they're similar to some degree.

The rest of the chapter wouldn't have good grammar if it was MTL and no proofreading, while this is a minor mistake even I could've made since there was Yeon and the other guy whose name I forgot, for a moment I mistook who said, although only for a moment

A "he" and "she" mistake could've been looked over by a proofreader who's going throgh grammatical errors since most aren't translators as well

I'm saying this because even reputed scanlations like Asura and Drake with proper proofreading have made minor mistakes like this before. Even if you state that MTL is better than human these days, a single minor mistake perfectly possible to make by a human is not enough to accuse a group of not having a proofreader. Proofreading could simply be done by a non-native or it could've been a mistake.

And why exactly are you accusing that? The translations are clear and grammar is fine, minor mistakes like this happen once in a while.
Not 100% sure about MTL, I just know it's done by a team (Luacomic) but not sure if they used MTL.

From the font and grammar, There is a proofreader and a typesetter for sure, Since there's no clipping, there might be a redrawer as well.
However I can't be sure for a Quality checker and Translator
I've read a manhua without proofreading or typesetting before and god it's a hellish experience - ("Rebirth Of The Urban Immortal Cultivator")
