She was not desperate after that failure of resurrection. It could have been easilyt avoided, even if he's "dead" they could search for the corpse and they could find out the madam's dead. Even if it takes time, at one point they'd figure out the madam's gone and investigate. She didn't invent it, Seire had the ability and she also mentioned its the first time. She never thought of questioning why it failed or Seire on possible reasons especially since Seire said its the first time for her. Its for the first time, she tried it on her cousin as well so she does know it works too.

It wasn't new territory. Not only did she ressurect her cousin, Seire said she has done this before and this was the first time she had this problem. These kind of "first time" mistakes are because something is wrong and as I said in my comment, At the minimum she could doubt it yet she didn't. There are very rare occasions where its because of outliers. And for the 3rd time, She's not desperate after she failed the first resurrection.
