its implied they were lovers, but ophelias sister was a part of a resistance or something and he had to kill her as the vampiric leaders 2nd in command, which is why ophelia went ghost for 80 years yet he still loves her and understands that she will hate him

its been 7 months and ive concluded return of the mount hua sect is a better story, LTNB is just very, VERY, enjoyable

worth, its pretty unique in the sense that its the aftermath of humanity vs dungeon break, rather than everything else being during or the start of a dungeon era

i def noticed it but it was understandable considering we were getting 3 a day, even tho they were short page wise we were probably getting close to like 250 pages a week which is still a lot most weeklies are only about 60-80

then it went to 1 daily to now being lucky for 1 a week

as much as I enjoy LOTNB, I think this takes the cake as the best written murim story that ive read. The characters are all developed/ing, the backstories arent always just "so this is why i knew exactly where this super OP item is hidden" / "this villian originated from my tomfoolery in the past" but instead they actually build the world a lot compared to other plotlines and make the characters so much more complex than "reincarnate OP MC needs help from his new friends who are OP thanks to MC"
