there are multiple different variations of the "demonic" path, such as just straight evil, doing whatever it takes for power, and varying others but the 2 i enjoy the most are what we learn the path is of this story, where the MC is the heir to the heavenly demon title yet in his own way, is righteous, because the true path is just selfishness whether that be the selfish desire to be a savior or the selfish desire for vengance. the other dispaly i really enjoy is Magic Emperor.

dragons race usually has a lifespan several times that of even elves so yea, there's 2 ways to show time for those kinds of races which is either A: a longer prepubescent period, or B: they grow up but look locked in the middle ages appearance wise for centuries. most series/artists will gravitate towards the latter since character designs/descriptions can stay the same for things like time skips or memory flashbacks
