idk much about source material, in my eyes mythology is separate from religion but yea I know even the legends have usually portrayed the gods in such a way, but it's still funny to see it be a constant theme through every medium, especially Zeus. Hades at least has some "fuck around and find out" and some "eh whatever" energy throughout his mediums so its not like everyone sticks to the source portayals but for Zeus? yea its wraps

based off the purple energy the one dude who's captured has, and that the 2 characters from the beginning were also drawn showing that same purple energy, it would be safe to assume they do have demonic ties. My guess is a guild or cult through which the demons were already making moves on earth

I love Zues being a piece of shit in almost all mediums displaying Greek gods. I don't think I've seen a single one where Zeus has been decent.

I said this on an earlier chapter, but it's more likely that the war will be revealed in flashbacks as information comes up in the current plotline, like Josh getting jumped by what was it 3 superhumans? It's not great writing but personally, I wouldn't go as far as calling it terrible writing. as for the Naruto reference, it's not the same as the shinobi war is major to Naruto's development and quite literally led to the end of the series with multiple huge fights and power-ups, while in this story the war was just a Timeskip stepping stone for Joshua to complete his revenge. It's closer to the1st and 3rd great shinobi war, where it has a lot of important information like the backstory and connection of the Uchiha, namely Madara and Obito, and how that later impacts the story like Itachi's genocide or Kakashi's sharingan, or the start of the 4th great war, but at the end of the day we only found out those details as it pertained to the main character and the plotline.
