You hit the nail on the head on how I feel towards this story. You can't have the highs without the lows and it makes the victories that Ihwa achieves that much more meaningful for the reader.

I'm not saying he is the worst character in this series because I have no doubt many characters can top him. The way that the author expertly crafted the chapter to make the reader feel a certain type of way is why this chapter is my least favorite. If he didn't make you feel disgusted by his actions then that's cool since everyone is different.

This is officially my least favorite chapter of this series. Not because it was bad but because it showed how shitty the behavior of this immortal guy is. Seriously I hope he meets a pathetic end.

Those pills are not used to suppress his evil cycle but instead they are formulated to activate it. Think of it like how a laxative helps you poop after taking a pill. This pill helps bring out Clara's inner wickedness.
