Hmm... more like, instead of redeeming himself, at least makes the effort to right his past wrongs... eventually...
Bitch however:
Unless you want a really really major spoiler, I will just leave it at, there is a lot more going on with bitch...

Problem is:
There is more to bitch, doesn't absolve the king fully mind you, beyond spoiling bitch rotten and going along with her on everything, as previously mentioned his own bias' against the demi's helped drive him to his actions. Trash does EVENTUALLY grow out of his retardation, bitch however... even after her "ultimate" fate manages to linger...

Subversion of expectations, looks evil and we were set up to think demons = evil by standard isekai tropes and the demon rampaging earlier in this story.

Doesn't help he has an innate evil/demonic look lending credence to "evil" bias.

At least in shield hero...
The king used to be a wise king
He only became that way due to a combination of bitch's manipulations and his innate hatred for demi humans... forget who exactly but, he lost family to them back in the day/when they were at ware with each other, the shield hero being their god and hero is also another part of how he became so twisted.
In this case this is just a typical scumbag king however.

Read the novel, its complete, the anime is on the precipice of overtaking where the manga is at within a few more episodes.

Also the anime is very much worth watching, one of the better novel to anime adaptations out there.

1. Almus may know that as true as a reincarnator from earth, but this is a world with magic/vodoo and blessings, in otherwords no garuntee that it is true of his new world.

2. more importantly did you not follow what this chapter had written, or even better do you not know the history of science itself specifically the pains of getting heliocentricity accepted?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galileo_affair

Tried as a heritic for daring to proclaim earth was not the center of the universe, Almus doesn't want to get involved in a world that is in period before heliocentrism is accepted even if he knows better.

Also a great cautionary tale of "believe the science" as we have time and again found ourselves to be mistaken and wrong decades and centuries down the road...

GDI thought the party was going to slink away with bitch mcgee as a hostage. Instead its out of the frying pan, into the fire, out of the fire and into the napalm... if this gets any worse its out of the napalm and into the hell fire...

I kind of like the MC who is desperately trying not to rely on his "extra lives" even though he knows he can.

Feel like I am missing something, we went straight from the conclusion of the slandering producer event/arc to all of sudden him being tested for/diagnosed with PTSD, which makes sense being a fire fighter and especially with all the shit he's been through so far but this seemed random, or did I just forget about a previous chapter where he got seen and they just choose this chapter to open up with the results?

TBH dont fully recall myself, something to do with the six sided world and war.

To be specific, the background story of this world, they call it the "six sided world" because originally there were 6 different... dimensions? that were interconnected, beast, demon, human, dragon, ect. (forget exactly what all 6 were) but due to some events all the other worlds were destroyed and now all 6 worlds have essentially been condensed to one plain, where as the various races lived separate from each other, now they only live geographically separated... and not always as we see there are all kinds in every city.

The story should explain a bit about why teleportation is taboo later down the road.

Soo... It wasn't meant to be a curse... one of the dragon gods (forget his original name) who was eventually split into two (laplace and technique god) was the one who "changed" (? modified? placed her in the crystal) elinalise, or more specifically, she was originally his subordinate.

Her ability to produce magic crystals was an intended effect... though not so sure about needing to have sex to not die was, specifically elinalise consented to and was "cursed" as such with the intent to be able to help orsted fight hitogami, unfortunately elinalise has forgoten her memories from before she was frozen in the crystal.

Yeah alot of laplace/technique god and elinalise's story are tied up in side stories that don't really fit in telling rudi's story/were released after the fact when the WN was still on going.

Close, Laplace and technique god used to be one person, one of the dragon gods, forget what their original name was or how they got split, in doing so they both lost their original memories, either way elinalise was originally one of his subordinates, she was placed in the crystal so that she would gain the ability to help orsted in his fight with hitogami, specifically she was supposed to be able to produce magic crystals to help orsted compensate for his severly NERFED magic recovery rate.

Though I don't think the sex bit was the intended method, probably a side effect of her being freed prematurely, either way elinalise had also forgot her original mission/reason for having been frozen in the crystal.

Forgot to mention elinora's curse is somewhat intentional, ... brainfarting on the dragon gods atm... the one that split into two, before he was split iirc technique god and... ah right laplace, who he was before he was split in two.

Elinora was one of his people and he had her placed under that curse so that she could produce those magic crystals to supplement orsted's lack of ability to recover magic for the inevitable showdown with hitogami.

I think you fail to understand the point of this story, its not an action series, its about rudi's life/redo, more importantly this arc sets up many things for later that are important to the bigger story.

That is to say, rudi is living his life proper in this world, hence why its not all action and adventure.

So, not an edge fest what happens is

Right before the very pivitol event that would set Oldeus' dark future into motion, is when old rudeus returns to the past and stops him from following hitogami's "innocent" suggestion, warning rudi of what would happen and promptly dying, but not before leaving behind his journal... the same journal that rudi first started in millishion during his and eris' journey back to fitora.

It is there where we learn of what happened to rudi after the death of roxy, and where the story finally gets into its main arc/beginning of the end of rudi's main arc. (there is more to the story, or rather other characters who's storys ought to be told but MT only tells of the lifetime of rudi)

No, it is...

DB/DBZ is the most influential anime, it brought anime to the main stream in the west, it got me into anime, it set the formula for the shonens that came after to follow.

This shonen included, would say MHA/JJK/DS refined the formula that Naruto/Bleach/One Piece refined further from DBZ.

Know a lot of peeps ain't happy with MHA is going atm, but its not like it wasn't hinted long ago that deku was planning on going talk no jutsu... anyways rip toriyama... your works changed the entire world...
