Yuri
He's less that worthless, something that is worthless has no value, people like him are a net negative, they are less than zero, they detract value from others and the company itself.
Or rather I think you have a slight misunderstanding. Water resistant got replaced with "water proof" a while back and going to assume due to law suits, generally, something that is water resistant is water resistant UP to a certain depth (which is usually printed on, and prominently displayed), this has to do with the relationship of fluid height and pressure, (4.44psi exerted per 10ft of water depth, I.E. 44.4PSI at 100ft of depth) basically if anything goes deep enough the water pressure will overcome the seals keeping the water out of it.
Doesn't help he has an innate evil/demonic look lending credence to "evil" bias.
Also the anime is very much worth watching, one of the better novel to anime adaptations out there.
2. more importantly did you not follow what this chapter had written, or even better do you not know the history of science itself specifically the pains of getting heliocentricity accepted?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Galileo_affair
Tried as a heritic for daring to proclaim earth was not the center of the universe, Almus doesn't want to get involved in a world that is in period before heliocentrism is accepted even if he knows better.
Also a great cautionary tale of "believe the science" as we have time and again found ourselves to be mistaken and wrong decades and centuries down the road...
I kind of like the MC who is desperately trying not to rely on his "extra lives" even though he knows he can.
To be specific, the background story of this world, they call it the "six sided world" because originally there were 6 different... dimensions? that were interconnected, beast, demon, human, dragon, ect. (forget exactly what all 6 were) but due to some events all the other worlds were destroyed and now all 6 worlds have essentially been condensed to one plain, where as the various races lived separate from each other, now they only live geographically separated... and not always as we see there are all kinds in every city.
The story should explain a bit about why teleportation is taboo later down the road.
Her ability to produce magic crystals was an intended effect... though not so sure about needing to have sex to not die was, specifically elinalise consented to and was "cursed" as such with the intent to be able to help orsted fight hitogami, unfortunately elinalise has forgoten her memories from before she was frozen in the crystal.
Though I don't think the sex bit was the intended method, probably a side effect of her being freed prematurely, either way elinalise had also forgot her original mission/reason for having been frozen in the crystal.
Elinora was one of his people and he had her placed under that curse so that she could produce those magic crystals to supplement orsted's lack of ability to recover magic for the inevitable showdown with hitogami.
That is to say, rudi is living his life proper in this world, hence why its not all action and adventure.
