id say his enjoyment of fighting is less because of fighting and more because he went 12 years without sleeping and half of it was spent fighting monsters
100% he mentally broke at some point but couldnt escape so his mind put itself back together around the fighting
i also wonder if eating monster cores is what causes monsterfication, or if its a mental thing and MC is fine because he is so strong mentally now and most others that try are weak or forced into it like the brothers

my guess for them not telling MC how much time has passed is that he did leave the forest in the past, learnt how much time passed or maybe had a crash out about something, and people who recognize who he is dont want to tell him in case he has another crash out and that the witch sealed his memories of the event
hell maybe 2000 years ago there was a big battle of some sort during the founding of that city-state and MCs adoptive family got injured or killed and he crashed out over it really bad so the witch locked his memories and put a seal on the forest to warp his view of time

wish this story was more like Tensei Kenja where MC is broken but has to fight enemies that are just as broken

from my understanding, new politicians are underestimating MCs power and trying to drag him down for easy wins, Johnathan doesnt want MC to get involved bc he has bigger shit to deal with (like the war between doom and system) so he is doing the hearing himself, and now likely staged a fake attack on the politicians to show off his power and that he 'saved' the people trying to ruin him

prob not, if there are any gods of this world i imagine they know what MCs actual plans are, maybe some would seek to strike him down, but i imagine any actual gods would know he is acting as a great evil to bring peace by forcing the other countries to focus on him instead of each other

i have to deal with the general public in my current job, and while rare, there are 100% people who still have that HS drama bullshit in their heads and will start shit for the sake of it or lie because telling the truth would be them admitting they fucked up or forgot something

the 5 chiefs (MC is 1 of them) are run by people still stuck in the past of honor n chivalry when things like guns are being developed and care more about fighting than stability in their homes
the 8 witches are full of greed and only thing in short term benefits for themselves and have effectively ruined the kingdoms economy and R&D
the queen is also a moron and MC tried explaining to her 'people die at random, men who are captured are tortured and women are raped' and that sending the princess to the front lines was a beyond idiotic idea but she forced MC by saying if he didnt go she would get people he cared about to go in his stead (and they would be less flexible than MC and likely get killed as a result)

but silver lining, MC has built up his own private shipping company and is using it to find this worlds American continents with plans to evacuate the continent when the war gets bad enough since the other nations of humans and elves havent developed a sextant to travel the ocean by using the stars for direction
no idea if he will also evacuate when the time comes, but i hope he does since he seems to be the only one in a position of power and knows the nation is fucked unless major changes happen like stripping the witches of their power, forcing the other chiefs to fix the internal problems, and telling the royal family 'you are a fucking retard and will get your children killed or worse'

he was only a background character for a while but i think he was someone who wanted to try and be diablo part 2 and possibly would have been a good 2nd but MC is 'that guy'
and i think part of his problem is he assumed, like everyone else, that the only way to get stronger with black magic is though pain and slaughter and thus killed his former friends to get stronger

i also wouldnt be surprised if they only got their current power because their leader had the dimensional trade access for a while (maybe he still has it but is from a different universe since Lv0 is only supposed to be 1 per universe/world)

this MC and story is so frustrating with the alt world crap, feels less like a 'the earth fucking ended' and more like 'i go back to earth every now n then but am in fantasy land'
MC is also leaving his friends 'high n dry' since he can choose who goes in and out of his alt-world so he could just... go inside anytime he was in actual danger and thus has 0 reason to not do something like Tsukimichi where the passive types can get away from the danger of the undead or hostile groups
and he fuckin knows that one of the members in his friend group is working with a hostile group, and instead of going to help them he is just leaving them

wouldnt be surprised if some of them get seriously injured or nearly killed before MC actually gets off his ass and helps them and pulls them to his alt world where they can be safe
