Was starting to think the author wrote every race other than human as utterly irredeemable.
Though the flow of the conversation did make it seem like there may need to be some level of "mastery" which we are seeing in the case of jiji to a degree with evil eye.
I'm curious what is going to happen with takakura though, since it seems like they implied his physical capabilities are well above normal standards after using turbo granny's powers for so long. Is it just a physical boost for going super human speeds for so long? or did he awaken some kind of innate spiritual powers?
She seems to have no recent memories, including that of her powers, meaning she has no memories since jiji transferred into class, or more specifically she likely won't know jiji until he introduces himself since this would be her "first" time meeting him since... primary? school? since they were kids. (in her current amnesiac state that is)
St. Germain is looking to steal powers... something about dandadan and making the ultimate yokai? but why would that require humans who use yokai powers...
Why would befriending the main cast be beneficial when it seems there is obvious and very specific conditions required to steal powers, unless its just to get intel on them directly to pass on to his minions and those he bestows powers to for a "monster of the week" fight until this arc somewhat resolves?
Also talking about ability evolution with the whole lord of flies incident...
This series is so unhinged but in a good way.
For these quasi RPG like series I honestly stop tracking their level/power heavily because its inconsequential 99.9% of the time.
But also based on the MC's stat growth (which is abnormal) it appears that stats seem to rise exponentially over time hence why that sword which is presumably a level 75ish weapon (since the boss it was dropped from is around that level) giving 20k... well it was a "quasi legendary" point is compared to what a normal level 75 profession's stats are at, imagine that isn't as large of a boost as it sounds.
Did I forget about or miss that they are using some kind of magic to "live" the story? or is this just a design choice for some reason?
If the former I guess it's fine but otherwise IDK I like this story but find this flash back/story telling format irksome.
It's not a pretty win, but you beat her.
Half wonder if she said it passing in order to deflect arranged marriages... also they slandered the MC a ton making it out as if he set up the scenario that left her with a fond impression in the first place.
Do wonder if she knows he's being hunted because of her though.
Either way, lin moyu barely has any gear compared to his peers (likely due to few sets/peices actually benefiting his class) and he's only bound to find more stuff/passives/skills as the series progresses.
Dude's super broken.
Don't really watch a lot of american / hollywood adjacent garbage TBH, recall watching the first 2 seasons of it thought it was mildly humorous but that's about it.
I have a theory that turbo granny is MIA cause she got got by saint germain, I think they will free/rescue her at some point and she will lend okarun her powers again... though this chapter shows him training his spiritual power, so maybe he will awaken something new on his own?
They can't keep okarun out of action forever, feel like his over performance at the track day was foreshadowing of that much at least.
