I never watched the anime since I went through the whole manga. I haven't had great luck on watching the animated versions after reading the manga. I tend to get disappointed in the animation quality and a lot of the ones I have seen almost do a 1 to 1 animation scene with the manga panel which makes the animation look jarring.
