That's what I just explained, when I used the term axed I used it in the context of simply ending prematurely for whatever the reason. For me it's simply disappointing as I spend almost a year rigorously following this series just for it to have an open end.

What do you think axe means? For this particular manga I used it to highlight that the series ended prematurely. It does not matter what author intended to do with the series or how it was supposed to be, only thing that I judge it on is that I read 53 chapters of a romance manga which did not have an obsolete end. If it was a slice of life manga then it would have made more sense but for a romance manga to end on an open note is always bad.
