Reading stories like this... makes me wish my country's president also care about its people and actually punish the corrupt officials. This is why we read fiction. To escape from reality! Yay!

Are we going to do another backstory? -_-
Is it bad that I kinda... don't care at this point?
Or is it needed so that our heroes get fueled by the power of anger, revenge, friendship type thing?

Sidenote, as much as I want him to be defeated... I kinda see his point, After all that he's endured, to be told he's useless and dangerous (maybe)... I'd be pissed too.

Oh, come on Claudia, why the sudden change of mind??? It's cruel to lead the prince on and it's cruel for everyone involved. She was never into 'doing for her family', she was trying to save herself. Suddenly she's just going along the engagement? She hadn't even replied to him. Did they not meet? Did she not need to give her answer?
Do what the title of this book is saying! Don't let the prince bother you!!

I might put this on hold until I see the [end] chapter. Otherwise I'd just get angry reading at every update XD It's bad for my heart.

"From now on I will protect her" if that line was meant to be 'cool' or heart-melting, well it's not working. I spit on your face for saying that line to someone who has actually been protecting her all this time while you spit on her face. He really doesn't deserve her, not with that attitude. I can't wait for him to be rejected by her.

Sure, it's good that he admits his fault but never even apologized to her. I ended up scouring the previous chapters to look for it and all I found was that he gets so much help from his wingman. Making him realize he's jealous, telling her she's in the garden so he can meet her, trying to get Yulan out of the way, trying to get lady Claudia to join the party so the prince can meet her, all that was thanks to glasses dude. He can't even pursue a woman by himself and he's a prince.

No matter how pretty and shiny you draw the prince, author, I will not fall for it.

hmm, now that you mention it...
well, let's hope, that whenever we're at our worst, someone will be there to call us out (in private) to stop us from being a bitch.
Does that mean Yulan kinda sucks for not stopping her for being a bitch? He IS her butler/staff. Does he have authority to "advice" her when she's doing wrong, or will he get fired if he steps out of line? I have to reread to remember this..

pssh, you only like her because she stopped giving you attention (and then realizes her good points but still), Yulan is way better for accepting her even as a jealous woman. What's that saying? "If you don't like me at my worst, you don't deserve me at my best"
Too late prince.

So the bee's name is Bee XD

really? It's unpopular? I didn't know that. It does take longer to be updated than other manhwas.

Maybe because the MC is an "older woman" who already married twice, with kids, etc. There's no romance of first love and 'not like other girls'-ness XD
Also, her badass-ness isn't as visible/noticable as other mc...? Baron has been taking her limelight. Kinda don't like that. I'm struggling to like this pairing, tbh. XD it's like, she likes him because he forced his way into her life so it's not like she can pursue someone else with him scaring off other potential.

But I love seeing her being a mother to the daughters. So.. it's a mixed bag for me.

The bee's name is Hachi?? *flashback to my childhood bee anime: Hachi who was looking for his mother where every episode is so sad. Apparently in English he's named Hutch? Doesn't ring the same way.

I'd still think husbands should be given the same leniency if it were the wives that does it. At first! If they continue hitting the child even after any sorts of help / intervention, then everyone should lose their shit.
Child abuse is child abuse. No matter which gender does it.

It's only the first time happening, as the husband, he could try to figure out why it happened, communicate, get professional help, but if the wife refuses to work together and keeps hitting her child even after all of that, then I'd suggest the same thing you did.

To just immediately say 'that's it. You hit our child for no reason, I'm divorcing you' is simply avoiding the problem, not addressing it.
Who's to say that the husband wouldn't have done the same if he was the one under pressure? (to which, then it's the wife's job to figure out why, get help, etc, and leave when the husband refuses to change).

I think it's better to have these conversations before getting married, so that you won't be surprised when 'shit hits the fan' so to speak. Like, if you're having problems, how would you want your partner to do? Vice versa. What's the best way to address it together without causing a fight?

It's also important to see the signs before it gets this bad. The wife did push herself, even after the husband advice to take less part-time hours. She forced herself because it's her 'dream'. She definitely needs to learn to process things, which I hope she does, but hopefully without the risk of losing a partner just because she wasn't able to do it prior to these unforeseen events.

The husband didn't even try to help. He didn't stop her when she's yelling for the child to stop crying so they can sleep, or try to have a conversation after that. And I might be mistaken, but when he finally said something "hey don't you think it's too much", she yelled back "then why don't you do it?!" there's a speech bubble saying "What?" ...if I assume it's the husband protesting why he should be the one to do it, then... even the husband doesn't want to deal with child rearing either. So no one is a saint here.

I still think it's good that she realizes she'd gone too far. If she hadn't, then it's proof that she's too far gone, and by all means, divorce or keep her child away from her.

Well, this is just my personal opinion though, and I'm not saying you should agree with me. But since you shared your opinion online, I thought I'd share mine as well just to have a counter opinion.

Also...
the author should really put a trigger warning on this chapter though. Child abuse (or any kind of abuse, really) is triggering.
Or at least tag this as psychological or something.

While I'm not condoning her action, being in a relationship, especially marriage, doesn't mean you can simply abandon ship when you're upset with your partner's outburst. You work it out first; communication and empathy is important. There's a reason why people say their vow "in sickness and in health, in rich and poor', etc, because it's not just going to be dandy all the time. Humans get upset, just like how you are upset by the wife. That doesn't make you someone not worth love / be in a relationship for being quick to judge.

Oh yeah! I read that one! I liked the premise. The 2nd couple does seem a bit toxic with their constant bickering, but it's so satisfying to see when they get sweet with each other.
As a Josei/Seinen reader, I've been enjoying Kintetsu Yamada's work. Currently following his on-going series "Kasane and Subaru"

Ah, I see. I do have some manga that I'm reading that might be similar, but since I'm of the Josei/Seinen age, the story I read usually end up moving on from school to workplace. So do keep that in mind with my recommendation.

"Blooming Love" [ongoing] - highschool -> college. Boy is into art, girl is a taiko drum maker. Got together pretty early, no love triangle, got together pretty early, wholesome stuff.

"Mobuko's Love" [ongoing] - met during part-time in college -> continues after graduate. Sort of love triangle when they're already together so idk if this'll count, no school festival but that's because they don't focus much on their college life per-se, got together early. Oh, the one on this website (ch 83) isn't as updated as mangabat (ch 98)

"You and I are Polar Opposites" [complete] - someone else recommended this too. More comedic, no love triangles, fun side characters ship, I think there's school festival (can't recall for some reason).

== highschool life only, ~maybe recommendation ==
"Rainbow Days" [complete]. - This is an old series, I remember liking that, but I think it had a school festival and a love triangle at the end. Side character ship.
"Soushi Souai (Liberum)" [ongoing] - school life, student council x yankee, I think they have school festival, but it's more dark than this when delving into someone's past. Side character ship(?).

I kinda get why you didn't think they had those since it wasn't a 'major' event that got prolonged. Hori and Miya got together pretty easily early on without the nonsense drama typical school romances would have. Even this manga also had Sports festival, the one where the teacher promised to treat the whole class if they win. It was short and was more in the pov of the teachers.
I'm sorry if I sounded harsh in any way from my previous reply.

I kinda wish they keep this going until adulthood because there will definitely be more problems that arises.
Kinda like "A Side Character's Love Story" (if you haven't read that already).

Um, actually. (lol)
Horimiya has a love triangle for the side characters, Yuki and Sakura and that guy, who liked Hori for a bit (which is sorta love triangle between Miya and Hori but not really).
They also had School festivals but it was more sport festival, where Miya was all like "wow, I never had fun like this before" ...
Wasn't there also a time when Hori was painting something for a festival, and a guy lend her his jacket and Miya was all, "use mine instead". That was sort of preparing for a festival.

It doesn't do slow burn though. But the whole concept of Hori is secretly a no make-up girl at home who got found out by Miya kinda got blown away as soon as it started.
She never stopped being Hori in public, nor did she show Yuki her home life self (an appearance that Yuki didn't recognize when Hori was out ONCE).

So no, Horimiya isn't like this XD
I do think Horimiya is more school days, comedy while this one is more drama slice-of-life.
