He's clearly fed up with anything hero related.
Take his sister as reference: he probably never considered her affection and just thought she was tiresome to be around, but wouldn't confront her either because he just don't do those things.
But, then again, depending on who you are, ya might read things differently.
Me? I am the kind of person that is very indifferent and has lost a lot of possible friends. Luckily I got some people, around two or three, that kept annoying me into speaking to them. The rest? Suddenly I stopped talking to them and realized it months later, when making an effort was not really an option anymore.
So I had to learn to care more. Or, rather, MAKE ME care more. Because my natural self wouldn't.
But being as indifferent as this guy can really push people away. It just that, in his case it feels natural, like you never had a connection to begin with.
I think both are terrible in their own way.
Yes, she is SUCH a NEEDY woman, that it seems that he is in the right for giving her a reality check.
But he is actually very detached, and that's just as bad as her.
Maybe one of them becam3too conscious of the other?
If they just quickly adapted twould feel like any other character that SAYS they are bad at socialising but then magically work.
Nice.
I feel like the author lost the plot at around the middle, wanting to keep the story going, and kept planting seeds about the police woman knowing more than she let on but... that's about all the did. So the pay off feels poor. Because the build up was really never there.
A shame, really.
Still, glad I read it.
The mangaka did take too much time in resolving the plot anyway; the gag comedy can get you only so far.
Well, the format was always difficult to close, but this feels kinda... no, super rushed.
