if you asking me, better or worse i had to accept like it or not. and i still had moral in me, even if im angry i won't blame it to unrelated people, and most likely what i'll do is just pray for them, so yeah that my answer.

now, for me if the other person hid the fact from me, i would angry and say "why would you hid it from me?".

yep, agreed.

now we know how he like crafting class, since the dwarf told MC when they renovate his house, he always want something unique, at that time i only guess he had eccentric taste, but in a way it make the crafter always need to innovate to complete his request.

so if MC only stuck at 1 job and can't innovate and in away not making other crafter grow, it's just lost of profit for him too. So we could say MC is his own and his country future investment.

for me, nah, since the start i already knew it's part of the plan.
remember they first meet luxion said MC is the only one he don't hate in this world, but the rest of the people there he want to genocide them. so considering that, luxion "parted ways" because mc ordering him to do it.

even if he doing something stupid, im guessing the one who support MC (forgot his name) already have a countermeasure for it.

i knew it he wouldn't do anything when he found out about his friend. because he didn't even care when his village and family got destroyed.

but hey author, why bother telling him later if the reaction is as expected, maybe do it like "so do you have that artifact can i see it".

even if The context and the danger are different "trust" is still trust. lied or hiding truth most of the time would have consequences no mater how small or big it is. loss of money or life is still loss.

like you said earlier "I DOUBT telling him early would have been a better choice" so telling him later would be better? we don't know right?
so if we don't know either way why not just tell him as soon as he asking about his friend when they are in same room rather than trying to hid it and making you sweat a bullet every time he asking about his friend and slip up later.

our point of view are different so most likely we won't find middle ground it it.

at this point at least for me the only reason they "delaying" it is just for author to make a story.

i mean what we do is just guess work there is no truth or wrong at this point, i'm just saying what i believe is right, not how he would angry or not.

yeah building trust take time in friendship, but if they lied or hiding the truth from the start can you easily trust them later on?

imagine like some seller tell you a blender that can make juice, but when after you buying it he slip up and said it can't make ice juice it would fail and you can't refund it, because he didn't tell you it can't do hard stuff only fruit when promote it.
so would you buy that product again or if that seller sell something else would you buy from that seller again?
because i won't even listen to what that seller said ever again and that is my reasoning why they should tell him the truth asap.

how he react could be same, but the timing, place and the order to tell bad or good news for it different.
and the most important thing is trust, it easier to believe someone who tell the truth no mater how bad it is rather someone who hide it then got found out later (at least for me).

and i don't event know what he will do in next chapter, would he react like when his entire home village and family destroyed which is nothing or will he be angry (because his friend is looks like had closer bond to him than his family).

what did i say before? better telling him from the start about his friend died, rather than slip up like this.
