Or like, advice stuff on 'what food should I eat when--' then maybe it might be..
The last of the episodes are so chill that the elaborate blackmailing bullying that the teacher did felt like a fever dream.
Yeah, what you just said complete went over my head.
I guess Maries' backing is quite powerful and rich, even though Maries himself seems...to come from a lower standing, hence the push to have something to prove..? (shown in 49.5)
I'd assumed Ms Bird is also from some noble family, since she doesn't seem to be working prior to coming to Japan and uses her own money--or at least, has no sponsor--compared to Mr Maries. But she hasn't really used it as a power leverage in this. I might have to re-read again. The updates in this series is a bit far apart.
I'm also mixing it a bit with the other British traveler from Otoyomegatari as I'm trying to remember things.
I bet the 'not seeing each other often' weighs both in their mind. But there is that mutual trust, and mutual understanding that each of them are working hard for their dream.
What about family meetings? Marriage?
In this moment I wish manga has those long, 10+ chapter epilogue that webtoon has after its ending.
I really didn't like how the previous chapter kinda ended things but the epilogue made it slightly better. Answered a few of my questions (mostly about the boys).
But... so, did she end up involving herself with all of her capture target even without prompt? I guess that's what they meant about how she's 'historically' meant to interact with them at some point. Only this time, it happens naturally, and she genuinely cares about them --instead of being prompted by a dating game.
Also, she's always so pissed at Khalid every time since the very beginning and she always managed to reason why she had to 'save his life' and all that bullshit.
I do like the whole 'revenge is useless' and the war talk, but she's not even consistent in her own feelings towards Khalid. You hate him, but you save him, but you reprimand those who hate him, but you hate him yourself. (He does deserve to be hate though, his yandere is a bit unnecessary.)
I think I'll put this on hold and just wait until it reaches the end before continuing so I can skip the annoying parts.
So it's okay as long as he gets to be with her? What's he learning now that's good for his prince-hood anyway? The Baron isn't doing a very good job as his mentor about this lying thing (considering he's also blinded by love and would do anything to be with Mildred).
I can't wait for Iris to find out about William XD Please smack him in the head Iris.
Is the only non-lying guy the man who's interested in the drawing sister (can't believe I forgot her name!)
Too bad he was pretty 'dumb' too XD This country is screwed.
But I do hope something different happens this time. Or at least have the curse/disease(?) get explained at some point.
I think this arc is more for the wife to learn how to share her feelings, because we see things from her pov. She's the accommodating type, which tend to hold back like this. Maybe it's a Japanese thing, too, having to be polite and not inconvenience others.
I do agree that he should've discussed it with his wife first. Even if it's for "his" work. You're married now, sir. You're responsible for 2 lives, not just you.
Eh, they're new to this relationship, still need to learn to communicate. They both want to make the marriage work, so it'll be fine.
I like that they're showing how problems common in a relationship and how they'll solve it. These two are so adorably awkward, can't help but root for them.
I can see them withholding being official until they finish college so they don't distract each other. They seem like that serious type. But then maybe one of them is like "the hell with holding back. Let's support each other as a lover! Go out with me!"
To those of you who's stuck in a toxic environment and are slowly losing sight of your aspiration, keep up the good fight. Take a breather. Good luck.
PS: in my own experience, I didn't have the grit to change and adapt, so I left instead and took the easy route. But that's because I didn't have #1 and #3 in that particular field of work.
Is it bad that I kinda... don't care at this point?
Or is it needed so that our heroes get fueled by the power of anger, revenge, friendship type thing?
Sidenote, as much as I want him to be defeated... I kinda see his point, After all that he's endured, to be told he's useless and dangerous (maybe)... I'd be pissed too.
