While it's adorable to see them as young boys, I'll put this on hold for now. Backstory bore me sometime. I'm sorry author-san. I'll read it in succession later.

Kinda similar, in a way, to the reactions of all of the reincarnated / rewound MCs who is trying to avoid death flags yet still get dragged by the plot/author. They gives--slightly exagerated--"wtf is going on? why is the plot still happening?!" ahh reaction.

Though we don't know what's her intention, I'm just glad she's not like the usual trope otome game Isekai villain where she's soooo desperate to capture all target that she does dumb thing. She's just trying to get the original route.

Sure, she might "not know her place" and such. But even when she was somewhat warned by Rachel in the previous chapter, she didn't make a fuss. Neither on this chapter. She's just confused.

I mean, the bad guy conclusion was a bit rushed. The queen showing up, bang! She caught! Robin denying things, bang! He caught! All in one chapter.
The queen was barely in 2 chapters.

I do like a good "villain getting their comeuppance" but holy shit, these bad guys are so stupid.
Her parents were stupidly evil, saying things that could get them in trouble; the Queen was also stupid, showing everyone how she's willing to use violence against her people; now Robin with all the "eeeh why you still alive" shit just so that the author can easily give us a gotcha moment.

Well, the fight seems underwhelming... The "pet" got defeated as fast as it showed up. It didn't even need to be there, but I guess we needed to show MC's special power of sorts that got triggered there. Something to do with plants, if I'm not misremembering.

Should I wait for the whole shogi story to be updated before sinking into it? The last 2 long ones were very....emotional to follow.

After Lia got back home, I got kinda bored with the story since nothing really happened so I'm glad there's something new going on.
Kinda wish she's older though.
