This is why I hate OP main characters. The author ALWAYS has to invent absolute idiocy in the name of delaying plots for chapters on end.

It's imouto, who grinded with fatso and then was forgotten about for more than 20 chapters. The other, I think was the guy Meta MC was supposed to lose the fight to until a player interfered by giving him a debuffing status weapon.

They didn't fail, you did. Spread a story thin and lose your audience: that's a common rule most editors will warn their charges about. To use an example: You don't give a damn about Satsuki. You can't, because you don't know Satsuki. You've not been given any chance to obtain any knowledge about her outside of a very, VERY haphazard conveyance that, in the meta of the game world this story pulls from, she's expelled from school in relations of some plot with Class C. Other than that, you know a Player took interests in her and befriended her. That's it.

This author burned more than five chapters in a monthly publication on a character that you, the audience, know NOTHING about. Meanwhile, the character we do know about, Fatso, is basically letting a slow burn thriller happen right in front of his face and does piss-little about it. And the fact the last 15 or so published chapters have had strings of comments lamenting far more than just the bad machine translations indicates a pattern of a bad writer.

The fix to this is the exact thing I said several chapters ago: Characters need to start dying if they contribute nothing to the short OR long-term plot. Stakes have to be re-established, or readers will stop caring. I can't imagine Japanese giving this book second or third looks when better works such as "My Death Flags Show No Signs of Ending" exists. This author isn't Tolkein and they shouldn't try to be, as they suck at it.

That's his brother. You don't remember because the opening chapters to this slogfest were that much of a mess. Both brothers technically belong to the same clan tree, but operate in different branches of said tree.
