Ojiisan is the way kids also refer to strangers they don't know. Obaasan for women. The words can hold different meanings depending on context. Old Man/Uncle if they're not related or are strangers, Old Lady/Auntie for the same. Auntie or Uncle if they are related. That's where the gag comes from.

And now you can never laugh at it again because I explained away the funny. You're welcome.

Yes, poor people go to amusement parks. Not nearly as often as the well-off, but they do go. Yes, people commit stupid and impulsive acts on a dime with horrid consequences. Yes, crowds tend to degrade into a mentality no better than sheep. Yes, those same sheep can be completely unaware that a hero who is actually a monster that thrives on their positive approval is now facing his diametric opposite, who gains more power from sheer attention, positive or negative. And the very first slip up will dethrone Mask while empowering Clown, with tragic results.

All of these can be true simultaneously.

This is what I love about ONE's story. Hilarious on top of being insanely technical. Layers woven to have optimal impact with minimum waste.

I'm only here to stop the slander against the Another World Munchkin story. This one doesn't compare to that magnificent tale. You can understand such by the fact this hasn't seen a fresh translated chapter in over two years, while Munchkin was so great it's received an anime slated for next season.

Moral of the story: Never bet against the Munchkin.

"Taking on a half-elf half-human like apperence kinda feels like this will go down the same slop hill as ughhhh I forgot that other manga."

Only because so many other manga have done the exact thing, with only slight variations on the theme.

Summary: This particular author should never be allowed to write. .Ever. Relegate them to artwork only.

I think this is supposed to be some satire/commentary, but not a very good one.

Not clever in any real meaningful way—they don't outwit the monsters, the girls are far stronger than they should be but the writer doesn't sell the exaggeration (Instead of, say, being Oneechanbara in ridiculousness, it's played straight that these two girls have all brain & brawn to survive against opponents they absolutely shouldn't without any kind of loss or penalty). The "MC" is the useless bimbo one would see in a horror movie, only painted as one of the milquetoast protag that you've seen in hundreds of stories already, so the result is he's constantly being demeaned, bullied, and lead by the nose from the two heroines (the actual MCs). The zombies are not defined, thus they're never really a threat, even when by just using the average knowledge of physics, they should be a considerable threat (see the chapter where a 5-foot-something, 140lb girl is able to take on and overpower zombies of the judo club who all tower over her, how each girl can generate enough force with power to decapitate any zombie, etc).

The story doesn't really go anywhere, adding to the lack of cleverness. I will use Kyousei Tensei as the example: In that work, it's quickly established that it's an exaggerated and ridiculous commentary on misandry and misogyny, and works the theme, story, and characters well to that purpose. It plays the violence, braindead choices, death, etc to a degree where while the characters take everything seriously, the delivery is such an exaggeration that you can't help but laugh and enjoy the ride to its ridiculous conclusion. Kingdom of Z doesn't do this. As far as we know, it's just zombies, they're supposed to be a serious threat, we SHOULD be cheering for the two MCs & their bimbo, but they're too busy being low-rent Panty & Stocking (minus the sex jokes, stylish violence, and witty banter) with a more loathsome and unappealing Briefs. The "hook" is these girls proposing to build a zombie army...except there's nothing shown to support that plot hook. So it apparently just meanders into a bland tribal competition with rival survivors that apparently so droll and dull that even the scanslators gave up on keeping track.

The art is plain jane junk. Paneling actually is to a point of being difficult to follow, so the "how" of various takedowns, decapitations, sense of grounded perspective, etc are all tossed to the wind at the worst times.

tl;dr it's trash and there are better zombie apocalypse stories out there. Pass it over.

So this is either reworked H-doujin, or it's just a soapbox. I'll give it five and we'll see.
