so Soranakis curse is related to emotional isolation/deprivation? the reason he likes festivals so much is because he can leech off the joy and excitement of others and wants those feelings for himself. so when changing Gekka its not that he didn't feel anything, its that he couldn't due to his curse. its also how he made the sealing tools, using his own curse as a conceptual base to isolate the target.

so dragon puberty? instead of hormone imbalance, voice cracks, and new hair growth you get electric discharge, fire breath, and scales?

I thought it was level disparity that prevented him from seeing skills. He’s definitely leveled up a bunch since the last time they fought, so being able so see his skills now shouldn’t be that surprising.

I believe a crest is engraved when its owner recognizes the Knight as worthy of said title. And then there's also the fact that there's telecommunication via mages. The slaying of a dragon/the birth of a new dragonslayer would likely be high priority info to spread around. So even with no formal acknowledgement, they should al least recognize his capability, and there would be a lot of political upset if word spread around that they didn't endorse him even after slaying the Lindwyrm.

True, but then it would argue with believability. ones suspension of disbelief only goes so far, and when you already have an established setup that limit shrinks even more. So again, while you could make whatever character you want, what you're describing doesn't match with this story.

Literally anything could happen. Luka could suddenly have an extra head and you could just explain it off as sci-fi techno-magic, but that's more than likely not gonna happen, because it would interfere with the base narrative. I'm not saying i know what's gonna happen next, or this characters actual background, but going off of what we've been shown and my preexisting knowledge from other series, what I've said is the most likely scenario. A strong hypothesis you could say. Not infallible, but at least most likely not entirely incorrect.

its science-fiction specifically. and given the world we've been shown so far there are still clear limits. While Barbara is/was a serious threat that's only because of her intelligence and background. she's a tech genius who works as a spy for the empire, but she still has the emotional maturity of a teenager. Likewise Lukas a combat savant, but he's still just a kid doing the best he can given his situation.

The characters here have very clearly built identities and backgrounds. So, while yes, you could write whatever character you want, it still has to be consistent with the story. All the effort the author put in so far to make the small details happen would go to waste if the kind of character your describing just suddenly appeared. this would just turn into another so so read riddled with Deus ex machinas and plot armor.
