of course it's just my opinion, because i have no idea of what's going on on the production, but for what i can observe, animating the duel as it happened in the Manga, would have been really easy, but they didn't do it, and i remember that the author faced tons of backlash because a real swordsman, would have never used that sort of movement, and the story supossed to be grounded on the reality of the swordfight, but again, it's just my opinion.
And you totally missreaded my opinion of Gundam Quack, i just love that series, loved, but it's very obvious, that at least on the "present" sections, the flashy animation is the king, menwhile in the "past" sections, everyrthing it's more story driven, and i love that, and the people looking for their fix of flashy animation with lots of pew pew, will be more than satisfied.
The fact that i clasify Michael Bay Movies as trash with almost zero storie, doesnt mean i can't enjoy them, in the days need to almost shutdown my brain.

well, the anime it's on, and it's amazing, Amazon really steal a winner from crunchyroll.
The story has been shortened a little, nothing mayor, kinds just make it more visual than talky, the voices are really good, fissel specially has such a cute voice, and the sensei has a sort of old surfer shaman style voice.
The animation it's superb, best thing it's that the studio didn't waste efforts on make it flashy and full of lights and unnecessary explosions, they make it extremly accurate, you can see the moves of the sensei, the logic of the sword fighting and the results as if you was watching a real swordfight in slowmo, really shines, altought noobs looking for flashy explotions will not like, but they can watch gundam quack to get their fix.
The only mayor change i noticed, it's the fact that the duel with the vice captain don't show a lot of the spinning technique, and my guess it's that afther all the backlash the author recived for using the ballet twirl in an story mainaly focus on real sword techniques, the studio decided to avoid that at all cost, but does not really hurts the story.

Again, i know i mentionated this before, but the MC character design works so much better here than in the anime, in the anime MC looks like a little kid, in the manga, looks like he's on early teens, it's much more easier to believe people listening to him, and taking orders from him, in the anime, everybody looks kinda dumb for taking orders from a lil child.

Basically, school politics, is that there are no rules, as long as they don't kill other students, they can do pretty much whatever they want to prove they are the stronger, guess the winners will be the next cannon fooder for the government and people on power, but it's actually a reflection of real life, the Chivalry code, never existed, basically knights could do whatever they wanted against whoever they wanted, as long as they bring power and money to their lords, chivalry code was whatever the lord said it was, rules in this school are whatever the uper wlite says they are.

Salary Mans in Japan have to endure trough tons of Pain, abuse and suffering, tons of mental torture everyday, that makes everybody a badass, Salary mans in USA, they just learn how to get fat, and bald, and entitled, well if they are luky XD
