Nah, they're right. It has everything to do with not having incentive or courage. These are the circumstances where you walk out on people because you're being taken advantage of. You owe nothing to them, not even the courtesy of a two-week notice. But these stories do go like this because it's a formula: some woobie or inoffensive-looking MC is basically the bitch fodder of some ego-driven and/or evil person, they quit or are kicked out, and then everything "falls apart" for that person because it turned out the woobie is OP as fuck and refuses to be remotely conscious of it, or else has some hax that completely destroys the logics of the world they live in.

The sticking point of difference between cowardice & vindictiveness is that this took place over five years. He was bullied non-stop for five years. Sheer apathy was the only reason he quit.
