40cm of her shirt. Starting from the hem up, only 40cm.

Or she could also be saying that she can only take 40cm inside of her, yes.

She gets drunk off off a single can of beer. And she usually chugs like 5. You try to get absolutely wasted and recall everything you did during that time the next day.

How the fuck did you even perceive that as "toxic"?

I like that author is actually expanding on the father's character, a really great guy to boot, and not just use him as a mere plot point.

No, bro had a whole biohazard in his stomach.

Oh, so the head he saw that looks exactly like him wasn't actually there, but rather it was him seeing the prophecy that he will soon die.

I really don't like the direction this story is heading. We were fine with the original plot and I am also fine with other countries making contact with fog ships not just Japan, but this whole "reincarnated" subplot really just came out of nowhere and gotta say I really couldn't care less about it.

New translator really aren't up to snuff compared to the start of the series. Certain sentences are structurally correct but grammatically wrong, like they can't tell what is an actual question and what is just the character wondering to themselves, also present and past tense is all over the place. Even freaking special names are inconsistent, just the previous paragraph they translated "Hakugei" then the next one put "White Whale" like, bruh.

At this point Gunzou's dad is still a complete mystery regarding his motive and objective, but I really can't bring myself to like him as a character if not to say I hate him.

His whole character just reminds me of Wendy Garret's big brother from GunxSword, the character archetype of "family member who mysteriously disappeared before the story happens and then when they reappear their personality is a total 180" and continue to act oh-so-cryptically for "plot reason".

Now this is different. In the old version Sirius is Thomas' son and not grandson.

The Lamia seems to have noticed something, though I guess all she felt was the pressure emanating from Kuro.

Hold on, p18 that elf is definitely Alexander. How the hell is he sitting in the same room as Lionel?

The original was quite short, though I guess it did come out in 2019 when most novel-adapted manga back then beside the usual isekai power fantasy type is more of a "extended trailer" to advertise and get you to read the novel instead.

I will say I very much preferred how expressive she and all other characters were in the older version, especially Aletta. You can actually see the shift in Aletta's emotion going from first time seeing the Red Queen, then confused and surprise when called to bring out her food. Whereas here throughout out the whole thing she just has one standard-issue smiling from start to finish.

While I know it's best to go into this with a fresh outlook, I will say the old version had better pacing from panel to panel and also a much more unique design for the owner.

Rereading this because they just added a new version. I am still most fond of this version's art style but the new one doesn't look half bad. It's only the anime version art style that I don't like. They made Aletta look too freaking old, literall the face of someone approaching middle age on the body of a teen.

As someone who binged the entirety of Bambino! in just 5 days but pnly reading Secondo until around ch50, here are my advices to you:

If you really love the story and want to see how everything will turn out for our MC, then continue reading this as you have been doing.

But if you're like me, who love both the story AND the cooking, especially how the MC continuously grow in both his skill and as a person, then read only the first one and ditch Secondo entirely.

If you will allow me an analogy, Bambino! is akin to going to an amusement park with the cooking being your tour guide/driver. The story is told through cooking, even the part seemingly has nothing to do with it, everything still circles back to just how big of a role cooking is in our every day life. But then came Secondo, and suddenly the cooking is forced to take a backseat role and has to give place to extremely unnecessary drama that stemmed from an incredibly stupid plot point. It's like the author accidentally read Berserk! during the process of writing Secondo and felt that the MC isn't suffering enough.

I think it's explained pretty clearly though?

Methane hydrate is the frozen form of Methane, so they plan to unfreeze all that back into its proper gas form which will fill that entire region of the ocean with bubbles, the reason for this is that "more bubbles" = "more air" = "less water" = "less resistance/buoyancy" which is what all ships require to actually move and navigate, meaning they can either

1. Force Kongou to stay in one spot since all that bubbles make it harder for her to maneuver around.

2. Force Kongou to delegate part of her processing power and energy shield to create a force field to suspend herself in the air similar to what Haruna and Kirishima did, which requires massive amount of energy and processing power meaning she will have less offensive capability.

Tl;dr, the whole gist of their plan is to have Kongou stay in one spot so Gunzou can snipe her with a clean shot from the supergravity cannon. 401's role this time is to simply create that scenario.
