pretty sure you only have to worry about his heavenly luck if you have bad luck. This also shows his luck recoil isn't horrible

Without the fall of the story, readers would only be left with just the climax. During a climax the characters finish the events of everything that has been happening to them. Readers would be left in a state of "hype" wondering if the character is going to do more or if the incidents have been resolved.
Further back than this would leave readers in a sense of dismay because the story would be cancelled without a climax.

Thus, the only actual way to have a mediocre ending is to rush the last parts. Most stories I've read definitely don't rush the ending
