Some mix of comedy and serious writing, and MC actually strives to improve and does not purely rely on his summon.
While our MC's high-school level of problem-solving seems questionable at times (does not break immersion as MC is indeed a highschooler), the author treats it seriously, and as a reader I'm rooting for the MC.

I'm hoping this series would become one of the good ones as it continues.
An entertaining read, I recommend it.

Also, why bother the mafia in the first place. MC would be straight in detention center if they report his assault.

Unfortunately, later on, this series will repeat the same patterns repeatedly, only with slightly different settings (Larger scale usually from a Planet -> Empire).
Making it somewhat stale, although still entertaining.

Meanwhile, Eminence of Shadow also repeat the same pattern, but at least it inserts various different tropes each arc as the comedy, there is the central plot, and sub-characters that can take Cid place as the central focus of the story once in a while.
