This makes no sense, how does a archer spare with some swords in close range? Either he can't do anything because of the close range, or if a shot is gotten off, someone could easily die if you are "giving it your all", especially if you can't miss. Maybe he aims for limbs but then you got some serious injuries people need to recover from and someone with arrow in a limb could still fight thus aiming for limbs isn't "giving it your all"

Re: Criticism 1. That's a mangle of things to say and trying to reply to all of them, to even parse them out to reply to all of them, too much time and work. But they all seem to amount to 'maybe the author just didn't feel like putting in the effort and shown the peaceful approach that didn't work or to make them more than cannon fodder etc.' And that's bad writing IMO. A entire race deserves a little more than that.

Re #2 a very American way of viewing "democracy". For example there could be direct voting on major issues. It does not have to be a republic. You can have things like a council drawn up as representatives of each race. Plus some religious seats to represent God.. People can be voted in via methods other than 1 person 1 vote so more than one party can possibly be in the race. You can also have people pulled by lottery as to who going to be in the group that discusses things for the people. There are alot of options and permutations that exist. Inheriting power from parents, feudalism, and aristocratic hierarchy is a terrible government. You do not need some kind of "development" to have democracy or theocracy.

I recommend against reading this comic. How could the connecting stuff is and issues with that are overshadowed by the fact that it has alot of unexplained loose ends that are still there when it gets axed out of the blue. So I'm not going to even get into those issues which do exist.

Prostitution or Slavery (definitely the latter) how wicked and corrupt do you need to be that you think you can settle any grievance with such, that everyone wold be satisfied instead of offended with such.
