I suppose my memory will be refreshed within a few chapters.
So-so, but you'll get bored of it eventually.
Let's get one thing straight: this is an action comic.
Sadly, the author doesn't put too much effort into telling the story, opting to instead pan-fry our wits with an over-load of battles, literally one after another.
At some point, the characters got less bland, but the action never improved, as the MC strolls through more ridiculous power-creep than a mobile brain-rot gacha game, her dull, never-threatened attitude boring the crap out of anyone who's actually seen a real woman, so isn't drooling over her curves in the comments section.
There is some world-building, some different arcs, but it's all tucked away inside the rocket pacing of the action, until the ludicrous plot armour that doubtlessly gives the MC her edge - I mean: not even death can stop her - just gets way too much and this really feels like a chore to read.
I'd have dropped this title much earlier than after the 136 chapters I read (it's a lot less interesting early on, when all characters are cardboard cut-outs of people), but I had to reinstall my browser and finding where I was up to on my usual titles is a colossal pain!
And so, I started this, and sighed as the action that this title seems to pride itself on, was massively unimpressive: some of the physical battles are so stupidly difficult to follow, while those fought between the more powerful just look like kids throwing colourful Yugioh cards at each other! Factor in the above mentioned lack of threat to the MC and a 2.5/5 feels like a very generous rating.
It's definitely on my watch list when it gets a western release date.
N.B. the title is different: https://cityonfire.com/teaser-poster-for-donnie-yens-dragon-city/
Oh well, I'll find out when I click, Next.
Damn, even the dude who was in love with the MC and posted pictures of her every chapter seemed to have dropped this a while back.
English is so badly taught nowadays that skeptical is acknowledged as an alternative spelling of, sceptical.
Instead of plain wrong. Which is is.
I always hated the way characters wouldn't age in those things. A total BS story mechanic.
So why does she have the freedom to just stroll around random battlefields and help out old colleagues?
Cute, but far from gold.
If you like innocent, wholesome romances about newly weds, you may as well give this a go. Where it starts out strange (inferiority complex), it swiftly moves on and may well become a nice ray of sunshine in your day, but as far as it being a classic, it falls very short.
What can I say?
It is what it is, so enjoy it for being just that.https://i.postimg.cc/25Q3ZF0N/i.jpg
Generic, but passable.
Some dude, having had the newly built house he'd saved for 15 years to build, burn down, feels like giving up on life... that's when he throws the last of his cash into a slave auction, and comes out the winner of a hot, young dark elf.
Sadly, this being a Japanese comic, she's young young - 15, to be precise! This detracts from any blossoming romance, as the 25 year old MC (he began work aged 10 and did several different jobs) just feels like an FBI raid waiting to happen.
Pretending that she's 15 in elven years, and no sex happening anyway, I kept going, as their ventures into the local maze saw them earn enough cash to travel abroad, away from an impending war and go off on a few adventures during their travels, during which time, the inevitable happens.
Okay, so it's medieval and 15 was maybe a good age for a 25 year old then...?
Damn, trying to justify what's wrong when I should've just stopped reading makes me feel a bit unclean, but there weren't many chapters remaining and, having been forced to reinstall my browser, it's a total pain trying to find where I was up to on everything else I was reading.
Verdict: I won't be continuing this as it's very bland and the age difference between the M & F leads makes me a tad uncomfortable, but if you've absolutely nothing better to do/read, you could give this a go... just, know that you're very unlikely to become a huge fan.
MC had best keep her on breakfast pancake making duties and nothing else!
