Isagi immediately forgave Tada from calling his career-defining goal "luck" because he knew that he would have said the same thing 1 arc ago, why would he call out Rin for a flaw that he himself exhibited for the entire match?

That's 2 chapters in a row where they act like they have to be sneaky to avoid a fight then just neg dif the opponent anyway

If this is based on the podcast concept and not the actual study (later disproven) about wolves then Omegas are like cool loners or wtv

It's monthly I think. The translation doesn't always come out at the same time though

What about Kishuku gakkou no juliet?

I didn't mention the other mangas by name tho they're all under spoilers (I haven't read/watched them either so I'm just assuming based on what they said too).

Also read I Want the Losing Heroine to Win!! it's peak

Then in Nisekoi's case, that would still be Onodera. Again, it's a lot simpler than that. Whoever appears first wins. Rikka in mayonaka is the equivalent to all of the girls you mentioned. Apollo herself is more likely to be used as a last minute fake-out instead. I can't say I'm particularly hungry for a twist where the protagonist chooses the childhood girl anyway after another manga handled it perfectly, but THAT would certainly be a twist.

But again, it won't happen. That's why people believe Nene has the best odds right now. She's basically confirmed to not be Apollo.

btw in case I need to mention it, both of the mangas you mentioned don't have a promised girl gimmick. They're both first girls.

I think you're mixing up tropes. "First girl", as in, literally the first girl seen in the manga is certainly a trope, in this manga, it would be Rikka, not Apollo. Fated girl is an anti-trope. In nisekoi, the last minute plot twist is that Onodera WAS the girl he promised to marry, and he still chose Chitoge anyway. That's what happens every.single.time. Because there's nothing good about going "well, the protagonist always loved her so the others obviously didn't stand a chance, right?". 5-tobun broke this by making the childhood flashback entirely irrelevant to the male lead character development. And Mayonaka will be more of the same. It won't be shocking when Appolo confesses to Yamabuki, get rejected, and he gets with another girl. THAT's how the trope goes.

When has this ever been a pattern? Nisekoi sure didn't do it. 5-tobun BROKE the pattern if anything by having the protagonist end up with the "flashback girl".

Acting intentionally obtuse and (seemingly) ignorant of logic is when you don't think the hero should cut some nice dude's arm off

Did I mention that he cut his arm off?

His own body does nothing to justify how he should treat others. Can he half kill himself to become stronger? Sure man I don't care but this has nothing to do with slicing some dude's arm off based on some twisted logic
