What's Lloyd from?
I don't know about this torta business but they need a more balanced diet, which I suppose comes par for the course to add those onions etc in. But then they need to grow other stuff regardless Or I guess trade?
Not healing companion and leaving es for dead is a bit scummy. But really it's just selfish behavior plenty of people would have no problem seeing in a MC. He calculated that not healing her increased is survival chances which weren't high to begin with. That's selfish, not evil, even mildly understandable though not at all how I would behave.
I thought the forest god and slime were friends before this but based on FG face, I guess not? Or FG didn't really know es friend.
I am so confused at the last bit with the horned people and the queen.
But HOW? because you met a doctor and watched them work for maybe a few hours? You know less medical stuff than the average person with internet connection or TV. Don't refuse treatment because of slave nonsense or whatever but because es has no idea what es is doing!
I hope MC isn't all chill with slavery, not liking it but never trying to do anything about it. I'm tired of the old trope where MC gets a slave (at least this time MC didn't give money to the evil slavers) who's always super grateful at being treated like a person and thus a excuse to worship at MC's feet essentially. Yet MC does nothing about slavery in general. Getting ride of slavery is way more important than medical treatment.
"What's a scalpel?" Seriously, how would es know what a "scalpel" is or really understand how to do any of that. Even I initially struggled to understand what MC wanted.
Not sure why or even how MC has so much medical supplies on them but surely it would run out soon enough.
But Danial eventually makes the point in the novel that even if Danial were to come back, there is only so much one person can do. Danial would just be going to es doom.
I'm disappointed MC didn't tell the whole truth. I see no reason not to. If it isn't believed, that's that. I's not like White Dragon will disown MC because of a outlandish story of a book in another world. In fact it's not just not the whole story, it's barely any of it. It's "I know the future" which isn't even entirely true because MC only knows the original future before a bunch of stuff was changed by MC. the more MC does, the less MC knows of the future.
And for that matter some lame lie about a mystical artifact is completely unnecessary. Just say you won't tell how you know the future and end it at that. They already agreed details won't be pressed for, so what's the point of lying?
Isn't that woman Skel rescued the head of the house of the house of Croxur? That previous head was just a mechanical monster or something presumably now dead and definitely not a "current head"
