In this manga rarely we get important progress, but the vibe between these two is so warm I'm totally OK with the slow pace.

Well, he's less strategist and more leader, meaning his role is to direct people on site. Particularly since they are dealing with unknowns and they are a lot of standard adventurers, not all powerful ones. So, like an old army, before long distance communication became a thing.

Makes sense.
But also, too many shounen stories make power the only solution, instead of playing on the importance of wits, knowledge and preparation.

I did hope for SOME backlash from this dispel... too OP a character does start feeling dull.

The flow of the story is so nicely done that the last panel truly comes as a surprise.

It is amusing how it has yet to be repetitive despite being the same gag.

This chapter felt like a cool off chapter after finishing an arc.

It might get a few chapters of epilogue.

Oh, a damn shame it got axed! It had potential with so many interesting unresolved plot points!!

It does make it more engrossing that way.
But It doesn't go so much into mechanics that it loses rhythm too, which is impressive.
