AGH!

So the "I want to die" keeps them alive; I'm worried what a "I want to live" might mean!!!!

"I want him back!
So I will BURN YOU TO DEATH and get my answers from your ashes !!!!!!!"

...wait, no, that does not compute.

Nyargh!
I am afraid of it all flopping!

I think he will act like nothing to then show he was all about to burst on the inside or something like that!
The wait! The wait is always killing me!!!

That does happen, yes.

See, even great writers have problems with the "set up - pay off" deal, because the more you know of a type of story, the more you understand their "formulas".

Like, right now we know there will be a battle for each of the three swordmen separately... because that's the trope.
But tropes also help make the scene move, since we "understand" what is happening faster and the writer use these tools for that.

But I will say this... it certainly could be done better.
The main problem mangaka have is that their are limited in pages not by choice, but by what they are given. So they can't do as much or as little as the would want.

Well, you need to prepare the story so the hype can pay off.

Otherwise, it will land like a wet noodle.

My own theory is that the author will have the FMC realize her feelings when she sees Koi, and will go into a competitive route.
So, pushing the love she's feeling by adding some fuel in the form of a competition. And she will probably try to become a full fledge mangaka in order to do so.

And thus, the misunderstanding persist.

That... well, it's an issue with the "gag" format.

Sadly, I doubt we will get more, since these probably are limited by what the pages they are given and not the ones the author wants.

Man, this manga has the best "WHAT THE FUCK!!" moments ever xDDDD

I did NOT expect to see him using a shield surfing method to kill the slime xDDDD

Fair enough.

Well, I think then it's absolutely a matter of taste.

Like, I've read mangas with no progression and I dropped them because of that.
But I think that, for a slow a progress this one has, it knows how to keep the story interesting for its audience.

In my case, despite the snail pace it has, I still like it.
And I think it compliments the type of story with a slow progression fine by how well the characters have been set. I could not imagine Akutsu being able to be forthcoming at all after all this time, while the boy clearly still holds some fears.

And despite that, they at least acknowledge their own feelings. But are too into their own roles to be able to set themselves free of them still.

And that is something I am admiring right now, yes, hm.

I get yer point but, you kinda are missing the type of story this is.

It's not really a romcom but rather a gag comedy with romcom. So, changing the status quo is always a slow process, for that is part of the gag.

Right, but he was absolutely working on "enemies" and "allies" to a very insane degree. To the point I didn't actually like the character until the barbarian arc, because how little he had to offer as a character (tho, the plot was interesting).

So now he's starting to notice things, and maybe he will start seeing the past with different eyes, learning something he missed before.

I know we should want MORE progress but, I'm still enjoying the dumb so much I don't even get mad.
