This has lost a lot of steam. I kinda hope the author wraps it up before it gets stale... well, any more stale...

Yilo is right about one thing: there are times when the quality of the translation drops. That's... that's not the manhua's fault.

The quality of the plot, lore, explanation of the world generally keeps improving as the humble beginnings expands and he gets stronger and stuff. It is important to remember that quality does not drop just because the situation becomes stressful and the MC's life is in danger.

I do generally recommend this manhua... but I sure do wish I don't have to wait for updates to read more. I only recently started only reading completed comics and I dropped a lot of ongoing ones -> but this is one of the good ones that I enjoy reading when it updates.

Yeah, not to mention how you get to the sect -> by picking a random path and following it.

I want Luo Zheng to cut the temple in half. He won't even though he can.
He CAN do it because he can literally grow to 10x his size, but that's a trump card he is keeping hidden until absolutely necessary.

This is a silly work where the main character is a fangirl who is too busy fangirling and making plans to fangirl to actually take anything seriously, including the fact she's coughing up blood.

Seriously, coughing up blood is such a severe condition that any sane person would rate it an 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. Even if you downplay it while maintaining a semblance of sanity (as if you disregard something too hard, no on will take you seriously), you cannot rate it lower than a 6 to a really open minded audience.

Now, in the first couple of chapters, it is revealed as to why she's coughing up blood, so we know better. We know! But the characters in the novel have no idea. This is actually pretty hilarious and while the main character can play this up for immediate sympathy points, she never does -> and that somehow makes her more sympathetic to everyone.

Stuff happens, lots of stuff happens, and the story will pull some sneaky sneaky on you. If you don't like how the story ended because this reverse harem situation ends with monogamy -> and you wanted a different character in that monogamy, the bonus chapters got you covered.

Overall, a really good 8/10.
Casual reminder: I'm not IGN so that's a great score.

I will say, I was disappointed by how the setting - being in the modern world -> forced politics into the intrigue set up in the first chapter. It messes with the playing field to change what really matters away from pure skills -> into figuring out how to play the long game.

With that said, the top comment seems to be talking about a completely different work or something? To dismantle it:
1) LOTS of people die. Not just no-named off-screen grunts either.
2) Major events keep popping up. At one point, a magic equivalent to a nuclear bomb is detonated in the middle of a city.
3) "Sudden Time Skips" well, time skip, singular. The MC is a literal kid and in chapter 5, 10 years pass. It is very sudden, no denying that, but it is also really well handled. Perhaps one of the best time skips I've seen.
4) MC is incredibly smart, having plans and at least two steps ahead of all the enemies at all times. He knows who is watching and feigns weakness to avoid letting any enemy know better. The art is actually clean enough for you to see the accumulated damage on characters as they fight and you can clearly see MC taking zero damage after eating several attacks. He'll be clean while the enemy is battered and bruised.
4.5) Referring to my first statement, the long con is far more valuable due to the setting. The MC excels at this and it constantly pays off in his favor.
5) MC is insanely ruthless. He forms a group of henchmen who cannot die. They can be in literal pieces and in tons of pain but never die. This is a thing that he does - they're present throughout the entire plot and we're just supposed to accept this horrifying thing.

Overall, this "Arima Taki" guy is just trolling, as if it isn't obvious with that gif. It's just someone needs to contest that troll comment -> and hopefully someone who might be interested in reading this comic will also see my comment as well as that troll's comment because he the most upvotes for some reason.

7/10
This ain't IGN, so 7 is a decent score.

This starts off hilarious but grows to be more consistent and serious. It is unique as far as things go but it doesn't seem to escape the axe as things kinda wrap up quickly towards the end.

I actually still recommend it. 7/10
Note: I'm not IGN, so that's a good score.

This is cute, but if feels like the first arc of a full work - with looooooooots of wasted time and filler - enough filler to make 10 brick walls.
5/10
Again, it is cute, but I can't recommend it. I recommend someone just compiles a collection of screenshots where the girl is being cute -> where you read chapter 1 -> then you look through that collection -> and call it quits. Save yourself a bunch of time as this is a waste of time.

Don't believe me, peruse the comments and you'll consistently see complaints on how the ending is more abrupt than this comment I'm leaving.

I remember seeing this when I was a kid in school. Now I'm a grown adult with a job, I see that it has been completed not that long ago.
Ya know, I also didn't think it was any good when I was a kid.

I'm not gonna read it unless someone replies and really sells me on it - like "car salesman selling a beat up old Chrysler as if it is a brand new BMW" level of selling it to me - and I have to buy it. Good luck with that.

This is one of those works where romance is placed on a pedestal and worshipped as an unachievable goal. You'd think I'm hyperbolizing for comedic effect or to be dismissive of the work, but I'm not. Straight up:
Chapters 1 and 2 set the scene -> "I wanna be a vampire" and to become one, he needs to fall in love with the girl and THEN she sucks his blood.
Chapter 3 to 199 are filler.
Chapter 200: Conclusion: failure and disappointing because he still isn't a vampire.

I read this because it got completed and I randomly saw memes. Overall, it is split into two major arcs and I find the first arc to be fantastic. The second arc has a general drop in quality though, like the author wasn't sure how to handle the situation.

Still, solid 7/10 work.
Note: I'm not IGN so 7 is good score.

You're not wrong, but this is less of a fault due to the comic and more of a fault due to the author's declining health. To be clear: he died. Due to his death, there were some changes that came to the industry to help protect people in his position, so hopefully, this should never happen again... I say with some optimism... sigh...

I imagine in an alternative timeline where he wasn't treated so poorly, all these complaints (again, they are still true despite the valid excuse) wouldn't be accurate.

I quickly forgot that this is a villainess comic because it very much starts there but leaves it to go be its own thing. I also never particularly thought of medical procedures to be interesting but here I am, all for them anyway.

9/10 because it's really well put together. Characters, motive, dangers, etc are all above average in execution.

Fantastic villainess comic.

9/10. I'm not a villainess connoisseur but this work might've sold me on the idea of looking into them and giving them a chance instead of thinking "eh, not for me."

Demonizing a singular character who barely has any screen time is a risky play. Somehow, it is pulled off to an excellent degree. How? Well, I don't wanna spoil it so feel free to take a gander.
The most upvoted comment tells you to read this if you like Solo Leveling and I can agree. There are similarities - but it's less of one copying another person's homework and more along the lines of "it is this kind of genre" - namely, the "Dungeon Hunter" genre. If you kinda aware of it, then you know the drill: it's a normal world, there are portals of sorts that lead to dungeons full of monsters and loot, but if you don't do them, monsters break out. I'm surprised there is no filter for this on the website (we have one for Overpowered MC but not for this? lol)

Still, this comic does so much right that I have to give it a nice score of 85/100.
If I was IGN, I'd be like "9.8/10" or some nonsense because they ruined scores below a 9. :U

This has a slow start but it is a fitting slow start. Humble beginning seldom hit the ground running at full sprint. It takes time to build up and gets more interesting as the MC's capabilities start increasing; being in a disadvantageous position results in having to keep your cards close to your chest and be careful with what you play.

There are a lot of negative comments but I feel like most of these people just don't like this sort of genre. It's fine if this isn't your cup of tea, but come on with the negativity.

I'd give this a solid 7/10. I'm not IGN so that's a good score.
Depending on how invested you are in the world and MC's motives, you'll probably love the ending.

Looking at some of the previous comments (under the Newest tab), there is some weird nonsense going on. Old friends having an inside joke of "let's do that" being seen as a "homo reference" is... very weird. Imagine not being able to see two dudes being friends without making them gay for each other; it speaks volumes that you're a creep who has no self-worth and you only get your kicks by putting others down... incorrectly, I might add.
All the other remarks make no sense too. "positive comments due to the hot mum!" Are... are we reading the same thing?

Anyway, let's talk about the actual comic now. The main character lets his guard down to his trusted friend and gets killed by betrayal. If you've never been betrayed, you might think it's a stupid way to kick off the plot and you'd be wrong. There's a reason as to why betrayal is so severe.
In a world of magic, magic happens and the main character gets a second chance in life to try aiming for a better future throughout the world. The plot is still filled with impressive happenings and twists that will capture your attention. Despite having some generic tropes, it is pretty inspired and worth a read.

Solid 8/10 work. I'm not IGN, so 8/10 is a pretty good score. If I was IGN, I'd be dancing on some 9.4/10 nonsense because they ruined scores.

Honestly, this takes its sweet time for stuff to start happening. If you're patient, I do recommend giving it a read. Perhaps I'm all "unga bunga" in my head because I want to see the Overpowered MC in action and not just be told how OP he is.

The romance is handled incredibly poorly. MC is probably in his 50s in terms of mental age and he acts like a middle schooler at the thought of liking a girl. Absolutely pathetic.

Still, solid 6 or 7/10 depending on your patience.

I read and enjoyed this. It is very much rushed towards the end as the last four chapters speed to resolve everything like a person falling down the stairs to get to the bottom faster, but it does finish.

There is one major flaw in this and it is a fundamental misunderstanding of what nuclear powerplants are. Powerplants exist to boil water, regardless if they are nuclear, solar, fuel or coal. Water is boiled to create steam to turn a turbine which generates electricity. Nuclear powerplants do not generate some fancy electricity that involves radiation. So uh... yeah, suspend your disbelief on this detail and enjoy.

Solid 6 or 7 out of 10 - depending how much you can forgive the rushed ending.
Note: I know to some people that a 6/10 is bad because IGN has ruined scores, but to me, 3/10 is "don't read it" bad - and 6/10 is fine. 9 or 10/10 is like "you must read this masterpiece even if you don't like the genre!"
