I don’t really agree that the guy can be redeemed realistically, but ig story shenanigans will happen and he might be Junior’s dad or sth so he won’t have as large a reason and drive to backstab anyone if he suddenly gets the urge and chance (prince perhaps? Legit major reason I’d normally vote aggressively for his elimination even if torture is off the table for being too much) and the rest of his LOYAL people would 100% agree and hope for it too if they knew his hatred for the empire + nothing to lose mentality + shiftiness makes him a threat to Ash as a prince of the empire. Junior wouldn’t leave over him, at best she’d be miffed but stay loyal to mc considering what he did, and he’s traitorous in the sense he was just recruited yet is attacking current allies against the invasion and basically already said he’d rather go after them than work for the greater good, so keeping him around is unrealistic, as you don’t know when he’ll repeat the same decision under more vital moments such as during an invasion when she’s busy fending off enemies, he backstabs her so they both die. But then again, this is a manhwa so he’ll be reformed somehow by mc’s charisma or sth

No teammate is better than a traitorous one, ofc bs will happen in this story and he gets “reformed”, but realistically he’d be better used for raising morale of affected troops

If i was in mc’s position, i’d be absolutely livid but i wouldn’t torture him, but any other troops who were directly affected i’d leave them be so long they don’t go too far and as long as they execute him quickly
