I would have loved if it was a comedy, old man with a big white beard doing wizard spells where everyone's swinging swords that would have been fun, instead it is painfully Earnest and incredibly slowly paced. The closest you might get as far as comedy goes is the series "Her story" which is funny and in general incredibly well written.

Wizard's Martial World, do know it was canceled at 98 chapters because it was a massive disappointment and a constant anti-climax, its biggest sin was the aimlessness with which it approached its premise.

If you're looking for something that's plot driven or drama driven or with a high level of stakes don't bother, that being said this is a fun enough series with a decent sense of comedy, nothing outstanding, but it's a decent thing to read to pass the time. It is essentially a school life series in a kind of unreasonable Magic School that still stays relatively light on certain aspects of "magic" (it's not really going to get surreal or reality bending or anything) but it's kind of a cozy vibe it kind of just feels like watching a bunch of rich college students have to go through korean Hogwarts. blind. and they can't leave. And while the main character is overpowered in the sense that he just has a ridiculous amount of mana that lets him kind of cheese certain things, due to the fact that it isn't really conflict focused most of the time that only really matters so far as it means he's a decent student and constantly gets dragged into b******* by teachers by virtue of being a decent student despite him just wanting to "go to school and get the f*** out and get a mediocre job working for the government."
TLDR Nothing about it's going to change your world but if you just want a light, chill, somewhat comedic read to pass the time this is a decent choice.

Well a lot of elements of this are dumb but the reason everyone knows about the headmasters mistake, is that while they were mind controlled the evil guy told all of them the backstory and then the whole argument and everything they had between the headmaster and the evil guy they also heard because even though they were mind controlled they could still perceive stuff.
