Literally just shared some information. The blacksmith came to em not visa versa. Es was literally just telling Helmut what was heard, not pressing for information. There were no questions directed at Helmut here.
First, severally injuring a noble, especially for such a absurd reason, would be all sorts of trouble for Helmut. Strategically speaking super bad idea.
Secondly, whether severally injuring, minor injures or even just threats. Any of those actions are basically confessing the information Helmut wants to keep secret.
So short of murdering a noble. Which would be bad for Helmut for all sorts of reasons, least of which being the dark seed, Helmut revealed information instead of hiding it. Helmut was a super idiot here, apparently letting nonsensical emotions get the better of em.
Well the advice was to become a servant of this prince to participate in the succession conflict. How do you see that as "taking control of the situation"? How is becoming a pawn and servant "taking control"?
"whats so bad about strength? I think this is more of an opinion than anything... without any strength what option u have anyway and its a clear pursuit of a strength to pursue an objective without bending... what can anyone say if it was not just?"
I did not say strength is bad. I said only caring about strength and nothing else is bad and specifically untrustworthy. What use is lots of strength unused? Say you become the strongest person in the world, what use is that if you don't believe in anything at all other than gaining more strength? Strongest person in the world who never used their strength for anything, who didn't believe in anything, wasted their life at the very least.
And how is someone who just cares about getting stronger trustworthy? Let's say this assessment of Helmut is true. Helmut only cares about getting stronger and nothing else. What if the enemy provides Helmut with a means to get stronger. Say access to a world class teacher and the best resources for getting stronger, if only Helmut betrays their employer or master. Where as the original job/employment/servant position etc was just lots of standing around guarding.
Also it is pretty evil to lop off peoples limbs for no reason. Seems like the only reason Helmut doesn't kill is rules and not wanting to be consumed by seed of darkness. But chopping off peoples limbs when Helmut could easily win without, WTF Helmut.
"Plus he didnt willy nilly abuse his power in any shape or form... he is also at risk in this competition to receive a debilitating wound... idk why u think its bad... its fair"
Helmut is not chopping off easy opponents limbs because if Helmut didn't chop off their limbs Helmut would loose limbs. IMO that is a absurd statement.
Reason why I replied 10 months late is some idiot downvoted my post again. Probably because of the ungendered pro-noun. I went back here and saw all this conversation, which I only glanced through reading a few posts.
My original comment was mostly correct. Lilly AKA xe, AKA es, AKA es etc whatever. is immune to physical damage as long as Lily has mana, It was eluded to before when Lilly held back all those spiders, only getting injured near the end after running out of mana. And is confirmed latter on.
So my correct comment is being downvoted for this stupid pronoun nonsense. But I don't care, I won't change myself for assholes.
Reason I posted two replies is I had too many characters in my original post, which MK comment system does not tell you how many characters you have or even that there is a max character limit of 3000 till you go over it and try to post.
So "xe" is just trying out a non-gendered pronoun. The pronoun does not proclaim a gender, it does not proclaim the character has a position on it. It is a neutral term. Just like say "doctor" or "worker" or "nurse" etc.
If you went to the hospital with a broken arm and was told a doctor was going to see you soon, would you demand to know the sex or gender of the doctor coming to see you? If you aren't sexist, you wouldn't. Do you get angry at nurses and doctors for not identifying genders with these titles? It's for the most part not needed. And when it is needed, well that can be easily dealt with with at that point. Calling someone a "doctor" or "nurse" is not claiming someone is trans or even nonbinary.
Referring to someone as "xe" is like referring to someone as "doctor" or "nurse" or "worker" etc. It is not saying they are trans, or male, or female, or nonbinary, it's just not making a claim on their "gender" at all. Why have a nongendered pronoun? It's ludicrous to not have a nongendered pronoun. Think of situations where you need to refer to someone and you don't even know their gender. Someone broke into my home and stole some stuff, I don't know who did. But I got to refer to them as something thus I could use a nongendered pronoun. I know "they" is sometimes used for nongendered pronoun. But maybe we are referring to a single person of nonspecified gender. You don't find it weird to refer to a single person like they are multiple people? It's not good for words to do double duty like that, makes understanding people harder, understanding being the point of words
Actually I find it common for people to refer to people of unknown sex/gender as male AKA "he", "his" "bruh" etc. Often the same people who are likely to have a hissy fit about a nongendered pronoun just refer to everyone as male unless the person specifically identifies as female. The hypocrisy and absurdity of this beggars belief except for simply recognizing lots of stupid hypocritical people online
And why can't I invent new words or new meanings. People do it all the time
As far as "xe" specifically, I've been leaning more towards "es" and "em" as easier to say in real life
The advice about following the prince is problematic.

I don't fully understand what is being said here. Perhaps to seek royal master while you still are considered valuable? But it seems hazardous to ones health to involve yourself in a royal dispute. Well also have a problem with having a master. Got to make sure this prince really is a good person.

Only seeking strength sounds terrible and extremely untrustworthy. Evil untainted by goodness. But fear not, I find it just BS. Though it is still pretty evil to be lopping off innocent peoples limbs for no reason.

And that ending. WTF Helmut! Why would you threaten someones life for just sharing some information? If you want to deflect suspicion about being a previous student of this master, this kind of behavior is the last thing you should do! It's such a stupid action and does not even make sense on a emotional level, why would this upset Helmut?
So a action that is bad strategically speaking and makes no sense emotionally speaking. Bad job author IMO.
Maybe that last opponent would have lost a hand if not for the trick based on what was said
I almost missed it, why "game on now"? I wonder if they did that with the original language as well.
Of course you don't recognize someone from this, especially with different clothes.
People don't die from learning too much at once while physically injured... No it's not just being colorful they proceed to have a serious conversation about harm or not too much information is causing.
Surely it is because MC always feels confident about winning, but then then there is even less suspense about the outcome.
