I also notice little sis isn't being treated like this.
jumped right into action against an obvious otherworldly monster without any fear
Hardly commendable since xe doesn't even recognize it is a "monster" instead thinking it's someone with a concealed "cannon", which makes no sense but I suppose the entire reality makes no sense. This is someone coping with having their understanding of the world flipped upside down, with absolute denial.
A chapter or two ago someone was arguing calling someone "little" was belittling them.

Oops, killed my little sibling. Well if that is all they amounted to, doesn't deserve to live or something or another!
The comic does not properly give a time frame for how long everything took. Like how long did MC look for Seol before turning to that "last resort"? We don't know, but it couldn't have been longer than "several years" because that's how long Seol was being chased for. "Several times", isn't actually that many times all things considering. If you are being actively hunted by hunters, it is not so easy to seek someone out and meet up with them, especially without something prearranged or some means of communication. Several years of not meeting MC does not justify the conclusion of "actively ignoring" when you are on the run. Especially if MC is in a city or moving around searching for Seol thus harder to find emself.
MC could have figured even on the possibility of Seol seeking em out. Not certainty, but it was a obvious possibility. No "hindsight" needed. Then using that possibility position yourself in a way so that Seol can approach you without anyone else around and in a place and some discrete advertisement of position that only Seol would likely notice. MC did not try any of this.
Instead MC tried something stupid. Story said "last resort" but as established it wasn't actually "last resort", (other things that could have been tried as well, like finding a allie who can help track)
Consider how was this suppose to go? If Seol hadn't overheard MC in the city with worst timing ever, Seol would still see MC in the party hunting Seol. And once that hunting party had found Seol, (if they found Seol, why would they have better success?) then what? Turn on them, simultaneously trying to convince Seol on xir side? While having to fight a group theoretically strong enough to kill Seol? Also obviously they'd be suspicious of you the whole time, it would be difficult to earn their trust in order to properly betray them. This was a dumbass plan.
Anyway, MC should have just killed the fucker right then and there giving the logic reason it was a emotion response to some asshole declaring your daughter is a enemy of the world. Hell, it's still not too late, I don't see killing em actually convincing anyone he's right.
What exactly was the third quest? I thought it was to prevent Ezeb from being killed, and Ezeb didn't die and even was sort of saved?
Almost the entire world knew Seol was in need of allies, even if Seol did or did not like a particular allie, it wasn't like there was much options.
Hell those people hunting Seol, if MC didn't join them, the first thing they might do to try and find Seol is to monitor MC, you know like what police etc. do.
