New fight with a new enemy

My perspective is that it has to be well done romance. Most of these asian comics do not do romance well IMO. It is especially hard to do with a story like Necromancer where romance is very far from the central pillars of the story. It is nice to see a strong female comrade with no romance at all, even if it's not quite Necromancer being female.

The main thing I see so often with asian romance stories is how the female love interest is a commodity, even when they are the MC. (a very imperfect summarization I know, just don't want to say too much) Josso is her own person. If you wanted any romance with Josso it would have to be with someone other than Necromancer. Necromancers MC status would eclipse Josso too much.

And the story has strongly established them as comrades and friends. It would be like a romance between Necromancer and the third male MC, the thief whatever.

If you like romance, I recommend the movie Elemental

Being next to the ocean when your enemies are water based is especially dangerous. It's not like some can't attack on land but away from water they are less effective.

Having at least some of your allies/army around to defend you also helps.

So at what point does MC get smart and recruit more people no matter how strong they are? They should work on getting/making a item that tests for loyalty and morality.
