I hope you all know that torture is not a reliable way to get intelligence, a very bad method even. Unlike what this comic and the show 24 implies. The only time I can see it working to torture someone for info, whether trained to withstand it or not, is if the information you would get could be immediately verified as to it's veracity. Otherwise tortured people lie, to stop the torture. They will say what they think you want to hear most rather than the truth.

The main point is that water does not feed even oil fire where as death energy does feed MC.

For sure. But I meant where characters always seem to know everything and do just the right thing, even though it doesn't seem like something they should have known or been able to figure out. Of course you can get both, the character that always seems to know everything and the exact right actions, yet does stupid inexplicable things because plot needs them to or is blind to the obvious because plot needs it.
