There's 2 problems with this notion: first, not all unemployment is equal. Let's face it, few immigrants take university level jobs, it's mostly the poorly payed poorly valued jobs, and those are always looking for more workers, so it actually benefits society more than anything. The other one is that they can't really make a significant impact. The news are often misguiding on that, but in practice immigrant represent a very negligible percentage of the population, not enough for a noticeable impact on the economy.
Also, slight change of topic but unemployement is a bit ... overhyped? Like honestly it's always like that big thing that everything reside on, and not to deny its impact but there's more to economy than that. These days, smarter laws on labor laws to enforce better minimal wage and the such matter a lot more. Which btw, also impact immigration since employer with little ethics aim for immigrant since they more easily exploit them.
In fact, anti-immigration laws tends to not really reduce immigration, rather they make it harder for immigrants to get proper status which makes it easier to have them work under minimum wages and such, which participate in creating those awful work conditions.

I don't think they need to, you got to pick up the hints. The princess was trying to reach the mage girl but didn't know if she could do it. In doing so she reach Yuva and she clearly taken aback. Dude mention she looks like his sister, both physically and because they share an odd ability (moving their hair by will). Then, the royal guards quickly understand what's going by what he describe, which simply confirms that there are requirements to be able to do what Yuva did.
