Grow up. Only a kid would care about something like "kill yourself".
I'm not trying to excuse the Viscount for the shit he is pulling either. Most likely he had been aware of the cultivation of the land for a while, especially since this is a long process, but he waited until they were done with it to seize it to get better profits out of it. If he had stepped in sooner, that is, before they were done cultivating it, he wouldn't be in this shit. So yeah, he does mess up.
But this is STILL a diplomatic error on Lloyd's part. Other nobles would mostly find his actions to be reprehensible even if legal. After all, most of them probably have some plot of land not in use currently and they definitely wouldn't want to have to constantly be on edge to defend their territories. Hell, most likely this law was meant to help peasant keep their lands despite noble interferance, not to allow nobles to take lands from each other. Now the Viscount is justified in taking action against Lloyd. And making new ennemies is the last thing he needs at the moment.
I mean, just look at it from the other angle, the other half of this territory was their, and they also weren't doing anything with it. What if the Viscount chose to pull the same kind of stunt (assuming he'd have found a way to do it), what would they have done? When the loanshark are doing their own legal but dirty business, they're scum but he can get away with bending the law to his advantage? Why? Just because he's the protagonist?
It changes nothing tho. You still put your settings in a way that makes it more difficult to downvote you then bring this kind of trash opinion. What are you scared of? People showing how ridiculous you are? This is a particularly pathetic form of cowardness. You're already safe from behind a screen, what is a downvote gonna change?
I you seek excuses to kill "bad" peoples, this isn't an act of justice, it's nothing more than murder. You got proof of these criminals' crimes, jus give them to justice. It's the third time already.
And of course, he waits for him to try to backstab so that he can feel justisfied in doing this. What if he just bid his time, what then? Of course it wouldn't happen, the author only wants to justify his perspective.
Justice isn't meant to be cruel or kind, only fair. This, however, is just cruelty.
Also, I can't I didn't realise this earlier, but Bocchi IS the individual immune to his poison that the god is looking for. This is gonna be interesting.
What happened to the gods? They used to rule this world, but current royalty is basically always human. Yet there are still gods around but they just seem to wander. These four in particular looks more like vagrants despite their crowns and their dialogue implies they're used to living from banditry.
The kingdom of Geslan seems strongly linked to gods. Does the "land of the gods" refer to the kingdom of Geslan? It seems its very appearance is different from the perspective of those gods. Glittering.
What about the clan of light, those weirdos with light based power? They're from Geslan, but what are they? Bocchi's mother-in-law, the queen had some blood from this clan, but it seemed her heritage was distant (her power was weak) and she looked rather different from the other ones we got to see. Those actually looked a bit like some of the gods, no? And 3 of them were working as interpretor for one of the gods (the one with the instant death spell).
All of the separate stories since that first arc about Bocchi's kingdom of origin have been leading to Geslan and the gods. What even is going on there?
In fact, between him, Kage and the bandit leader, he seems to be building quite the entourage of tortured souls.
