nope, back when the manga started, he was pretty much useless, people looked down at him, because he was at the bottom of everything, clasic cliche of MC in order to make the reader feel sympathy and make the insta OP status, feel less unfair for the rest of the world, not a bad cliche if you know how to use it.

yeah a mechanic it's useless if there are no mechanism to fix, a plumber is useless in a world that uses wells and buckets, an electrician it's uber useless in a world whitout electricity, MC was useless outside the demon territory, and there is a big probability if he get's to far rom he's source of OP energy.

No idea, it's something about allegations of legal disputes that keep season 3 on produce hell for about a year, now that it's over and Season 3 of the anime it's finally on the Studio, and obviously, gossips float around badmouthing the Manga, but since the sales are good and the light novel it's going so great, it's just gossip, but the details, only involved people know for sure.

Axed? this is one of the strongest on sales his days, altough, seems like there are some disputes about anime and merchandizing, more like behind the scenes drama than axing.
