I do seriously question stories that satisfy characters rather than the readers - Mainly, mostly and specifically, ISEKAI genred CRINGE stories, those are the type of stories that unfairly revolves around main characters and had them buffed nonsensically with godlike powers aka plot armor.

If its this case, then "death" means his existence has died down, killed by "the one he loved most" would be the Ways of Survival story itself, and will be literally forgotten by everyone over time.
