Time to finish of the thieves for good.

No problem. Additionally, the current example present to my point is: The MC could have annihilated every single bandit present (solves the problem without wasting time), but he chose to spare them with a lecture (leaving risks and wasting time, but fulfills his motto) after killing only around a hundred of them (a message must be sent to not mess with them - his mission here).

You're not wrong, he will protect the non-murim people, but that's not in his best interest, its his motto - that is the end of his means, but he did not benefit from it. There's a difference, that's why I said that line is debatable.

Examples of his actions to what I meant:
- He saved the doctor (motto completed), but he still pays the doctor for his visits (he did not earn the service for free).
- He made sure that the beef rib restaurant that he frequents to and its owner still works there in peace (motto completed), but he still pays for the food, and pays for the damages for every fight that occurred there (obligation to the food, reparations to the damages without a single use of his authority).

"It's in his best interest to protect them"
This part is debatable, as the MC does not tolerate bullshittery (even though sometimes he is the bullshittery himself), even among those who work under him. IIRC, he did monologue that who is the fucker that killed Leader Lim and who is his successor, he just didn't tell anyone who it is - but his actions and attitude greatly hinted that for everyone to see.

You elaborated what I commented in the previous chapter. The MC is actually a very simple man, he is only "crazy" because the world is crazy - its a perception and principle thing. The MC is actually tired of killing, but he is also growing tired of preaching - as we can see that the MC has his impatient moments.

"How can one walk the demonic path without experiencing goodwill? And how does one walk the path of rigtheous without knowing evil?"
- Demon Magic Emperor (I forgot which chapter, but I clearly remember someone said this line)

Explains EVERY single abuse Ell gave her. She DESERVED all of it.

If it were cheating, Maki's parents won't ever want to meet each other no matter what (Maki's arrangement for his parents' meeting in the recent episodes is only incredibly awkward, but there is no anger nor hatred between them), much more even giving Maki the freedom of choice between both of them. The fact that both of them didn't mind Maki to bring them together for once, much less allowing him to choose who to live with after the divorce - tells enough that the divorce was mutual and under a common understanding, reluctant or not.

I see. So its either get randomly accused or go Mortal Kombat on them, there is no flight, only shut up and fight. I'd kinda like that in fact. I get to slash a bitch's face before I get my 15 day sentence. That sentence is nothing compared to their permanent scar.

Agree. Nagatoro did not tease her senpai at all when she was commited to the relationship as compared to how she was before that. Nagatoro was way more serious about relationships than this whore.

Unbetting tasks does not equal to unbefitting personality, especially in this case where its a downright pussy behavior.

"Your bitch literally told you to give up your stance and surrender in a previous chapter but you didn't listen."
This part? Yes.

"You want her to beg for mercy in your stead?"
This part? Its actually a noble brat villain trope that is UNBEFITTING of a MC.

"MC; I know you are an ass, but keep your promise to him at least."
An evil villain does not put "being an ass" and "keeping promises" in the sentence together, but you just did that contradiction.

Yes, they are dating, but that was after the divorce, hence it doesn't explain the reason - we don't know what lead to their divorce. Though from what we can speculate from their conversation, it seems more to falling out of love than NTR.

Ever watched Stephen Chow's Kung Fu Hustle? This is just the slightly modernized version (but retro AF by today's standards) of how they SELL martial arts.
