The problem with that is a lot of people in the tang clan agreed with him that not using poisons to their fullest was the reason the tang clan was suffering. To truly remove his support within the clan he had to get him on something no one would sympathize with.

It's also extremely realistic. In swordfighting kicks and tackles were used very often, especially when armor was good enough to reliably deflect poorly targeted sword strikes. At that point getting ur opponent on his ass was more important than hitting him with ur sword because the armor was extremely heavy making it hard to recover. I know there's no armor here, but the fact that it's based on how fights actually were in mideval times is super sick.

I hope that's an illusion from donho cuz if not then the stakes in this story disappear. Every single character who we have thought has died has come back except him so I'll be very disappointed if they just can't kill anyone off.
