He cower in fear but didn't do a single shit about it. He'll die like a rat in this rate.

Yup, he knew the future but far too ignorant of the present. He still doesn't realize he can shape the future by changing the present. And because of that, he didn't do shit in steering things in his favor at all, while Master Gu had perfect control of EVERYTHING.

PS: The easiest way to overcome their dire situation is to SURRENDER under their own conditions, but these emcees are too prideful and stupid to think about that. And that eventually leads to more public distrust and greater downfall of themselves.

Indeed. Getting f*cked up by his own ignorance of the society and lack of insight. At least the guy next to him was smart, just not smart enough to understand the essence of TIMING - which Master Gu had always been in perfect control of.

Which the MC already did in the first place in case you have forgotten (?). And he did not start over with any of them, THEY started over with hm.

Not all main characters were rebuilding themselves - its just everybody else except ONE. But yes, committing to relationships is still too soon for the MC. In fact, MC is currently just giving chances, but not taking it.

100% agree. The first one's a true b*tch, while the kouhai (Kurosaki) was just stuck with impressions (forgivable with the right apology and making up - which she did, even accepted and willing to start over), and the maid (Ruri) was simply bad timing - explains why she is forgiven a lot easier.

The only thing I didn't expect was that the maid was this aggressive when cornered. Kurosaki on the other hand, mellowed out when cornered. Still, both personalities tingled some strings in my heart.

That's the point. All these emcees did was show that they're talented in strength, so what? What if you're not even using them for good? Then you're just easy prey to the stronger ones like Master Gu.

Its the god that was INDIRECTLY rejected by the MC in every channel sent to him asking him to be a dark disciple.

PS: Remember every dark disciple that came in contact with the MC? They are all under this very god.

Indeed. Given every result that the MC got so far, he has always been at the advantageous side of things and never losing his freedom. From scamming against his stalker (eventually sided with him), to pretending to be the Dark Art Emperor's disciple (naturally became his master).

There is just one wrong thing about what you wrote here. What heroic deeds did the other emcees even do? Even during the Absolute Yin plague, none of any emcees even did a single shit about it - only Master Gu and the Ancestral Humanity saintess did. It didn't even take a week for the rumors and slanders to easily compile on them, because these emcees are baseless and selfish.

Yes, not in this anime's case, where the future is already set in stone. All he can do best is change the sequence in how it'll happen.

The type of girl that knows when to strike, and I like it too.

The King of Six Crows is still a tad short in understanding Master Gu's plans, to assume someone like Master Gu is that shortsighted is a literal joke by itself, even I can explain how he'd benefit from doing such a way, MAINLY IN THE LONG RUN.

Just by "kidnapping" the saintess from a family of tainted reputation, he already benefited as the following:

- First and foremost obviously stated reason is that she is technically bait for the two emcees. Casual two birds one stone tactic.

- Secondly, he'd already won the favor of the saintess' family regardless if the emcee is proven a demonic arts cultivator or not. Because keeping her in his house means that either she has value to him (as mentioned by her mother, there is nothing for the family to lose even if Master Gu took advantage of her), or she is indeed innocent and was sent to stay at his home (outright intent to the public that there is no relationship between her family and the emcees).

- Third, in Master Gu's case of not taking advantage of her during her stay at all, he'd already won the belief, faith and trust of the saintess.

- Fourth, following third point's scenario, if the saintess was rescued from Master Gu's mansion during her "kidnapping" period. I don't think I have to spell out what the public opinion will be, right? Much less the saintess' opinion of the emcee?

- Fifth, if the fourth point's case of scenario occur, NOBODY WILL EVEN CARE IF ANY OF THE EMCEE DIES IN THE PROCESS.

The term fourth wall, is what protects us from the direct influence of what we read and watch. By this logic, it can naturally hurt the constellations as they are the readers to the MC as a character as Gods are not supposed to understand what would a human being be.

PS: Further point on this matter I had commented on about one or two chapters ago.

The MC has to suffer the mockery from either by the constellations or by the 4th Wall. Well, its between many feeble, cowardly yet divine beings, or one undeniable monster.

Its okay, the guy above had misconceptions as well for missing out that its just a gimmick I pointed out. It may not be true, but it has basis, thus debatable until proven.

In direct Chinese pinyin, yes. But this is Korean manhwa, so the wording may have been different. Although... if the wording is "heartless" as you said, would you have an argument as to why the MC think that it is lame? I'm opinion-welcome on this talk as it is debatable until proven.
