Interesting. As you said, it was a nice ending point, so I had no idea. Thanks for the info.

Welp, he attacked first... "Evil God" likes up to his moniker.

Did you not read the very first sentence?

If this manhwa was like God Eater, then the psykers would be in a horrible position. Abused, subservient, and their lives completely devalued. If you think about it for two seconds, it indeed makes no sense.

So... the actual and REAL result of being in a "God Eater" scenario.

If you're unaware, there's a garbage not_Monster Hunter series out there called "God Eater" and it features not_monsters called "Aragami" that get not_hunted by not_hunters called "God Eaters." You would think that the GEs would T-Pose and rule all of humanity because compared to normal squishy human, GEs can do all sorts of superhuman feats and are literally the main line of defense against the Aragami -> but nope. So, maybe they're just treated with respect, like soldiers of war that fight against the notion of Aragami driving humanity extinct? Lemme stop you there and ask: What part of "garbage" did you misunderstand?

GEs are treated as near-worthless slaves and it's just misery-o'clock the entire game. You're obviously playing as one so expect the most mind-boggling decisions to be made by people.
Listen, I don't care if you like the series or not, the lore of GE is absolute garbage.
GEs are kept in chains to make them super weak, so you'd think they'd just not return from a mission - or return guns blazing, but nope. Most of them are stopped under threat of killing other GEs... Really? Also, if any GE gives up on trying (for any reason, like they collapsed from not getting food and being overworked) -> they're generally killed off without second thoughts, as if you threw away a spoon you stepped on and bent out of shape. The given notion and lore of the world practically confirm that if every GE in any given base does that, all the GEs will be killed first -> go buy different ones later. It is unlikely, but if every GE gives up, they'd literally all get killed off -> and nothing would stand in the way of the Aragami, meaning it's time for human extinction.

The basic lore of the world defies common sense and so it is trash.

Yes, there are people who have some common sense and fight to get them better treatment, it was a big deal in GE3, but it doesn't save the series. 0/10

Seriously, Common sense dictates that you treat your weapons properly.
A gun that jams will only kill the owner. A blunt sword is great for getting its owner killed. Treating the only option for your entire species' survival poorly is a great way to go extinct. The real worst case scenario for GEs should be "living on equal terms with humans."
I guess I can kinda bring up Final Fantasy 16's "Bearers" but at least Bearers function as a "help" to the species; not "without them, we would go extinct" and so it isn't a fair comparison.

"So cruel"
I dunno how to break it to ya, but the amount of corpses left behind any particular person across their journey can make up a pretty big mountain.

Also, odds are, these blokes attacked first so they died to someone's self-defense aaaaaaaaaaaand it ain't cruel at all.

For one, this ain't omnipotence; it's just a really strong dude
For two, I was complaining about the misuse of the word "God"
Because for three, if this truly was a "God" by my standards, then he wouldn't be this weak. Sure, he's OP compared to everyone around him, but again, that ain't omnipotence.

On one side, we got the Orthodox Faction who are panicking and pooping their pants.
On the other side, we got the Demonic Faction who have yet to hear about it because they're not so easily willing to trust the messenger.

Eh, it'll be fine.

>Dude
>>He gets hit by the strongest attack of a strong guy
>>>He barely moves and nullifies the attack
>>He gets hit by the strongest combination attack of two dudes
>>>He didn't even feel it
>>He gets hit by a barrage of ultimate moves
>>>He flexes a little bit and effectively nukes everything
>>>>He's at 1% power, flexes up to 3% power

There is a point to where a character is written so poorly that it is just bait. The author is far too blatantly trying to pull a sneaky little twist on us with that video Mr. Main Character watched and frankly, it pulls me out of the story. I wouldn't really be complaining if I didn't have to wait for updates though.

Blame certain websites and apps that monetize this stuff in such a way that we ended up here.
If you see any work that has its chapters split in half, like this one, Yuan Zun, and Douluo Dalu/Soul Land 4 -> then it's to maximize profit at massive inconvenience for everyone else.

Every "chapter" read on those websites/apps costs either time or money. The "cost of time" is along the lines of:
"A cooldown between chapters. It starts at just a second, then 30 seconds, then a minute, then two minutes, then five, 10, 15, 30, then an hour, 6 hours, 12 hours, 24 hours and finally 48 hours -> and reset back to a minute."
"You don't wanna wait? Oh speak no further! Give us money and we'll instantly have the next chapter ready to read AND we'll also reset the cooldown!" Sigh... there's an air of "How nice are we?" as they try to convince you "no no no no! We're not the bad guys!" as they're doing scumbag practices such as this.

Sooooooooo...
tl;dr: when it comes to reading this, which is under 500 chapters -> by splitting the chapter in half, they've effectively made it almost 1000 chapters. Why? Money.

I just realized we're almost to 200 chapters. This little "Side Story" has been ongoing for around 4 years now. Eden's Zero has ended a few months ago at 293 chapters.

Mr. Main Character is keen on avoiding unnecessary bloodshed.... but why? You can see all these creatures as NPCs in a game; as in, not really sentient.

I can blame this directly -> on the skill he got that lets him speak monsters' languages back when he killed the goblin king.

Still, I would like to take a moment to point out that this is a much better result than if he just slaughtered all the "NPCs" without mercy. Forget not having Dame Seregia, he would've lose his heart and mind.

Since then, I've come across two more manhwa that do this sort of thing too. There are arguments to be had between all these.

"Gosu" which decided that the best way to show off how powerful something is -> is to zoom out and show the power of the martial artist and the damage it inflicts on nature that is surrounding without skipping steps.

"Legend of the Northern Blade" does this thing where it swaps from skill-based combat between two combatants -> to power-based combat (ie: explosions).
