You roll a nat 20 on stealth one too many times, the frustrated DM flips the table and

"your character's stealth is so successful that they were never seen again. Roll a new character."

Real talk. Full serious, no joke talk:
... There are rules?
https://japantoday.com/category/crime/29-year-old-tokyo-man-arrested-after-letting-schoolgirl-live-with-him?
"... in the eyes of the law, saying “Sure!” when a minor asks if they can live with you without their parents’ consent, that’s still generally considered kidnapping."
As for the manga? Not my cup of tea so I have no thoughts on it. I just popped in here to see some comments and decided to make this comment.

"Ooooooooooh, that explains everything" along with a bit of disbelief. lol

Out of all places, it was one of the victory lines of Dracula in the fighting game "Castlevania Judgement" on the Wii.
Just go back and look at chapter 77.

What can any of these guys do against the "big bad guy" anyway? At best, they'll die to distract him for a second. The price of that one second distraction is too great and isn't worth it whatsoever. Why not get reliable allies that will fight him instead of getting sacrificed like a fly?
Reliable allies that aren't actively trying to backstab you over
and over
and over
and over again?
"MC was ripping off arms left and right." Yeah. He was taking arms instead of heads. It was a mercy. 100% of the arms he took were weaker people who wanted to kill him. Every single person deserved losing their heads for their actions, yet he only took an arm.
How many times did they attempt to sabotage him? Many many times, so the point that I made this meme at one point:

But right now? I'm like "pfft, these losers are gonna get frozen, electrocuted and set on fire simultaneously next chapter. It won't even be close."
But like... this ending is fine too. It is weird and not what I want, but fundamentally, it isn't bad... it is also unique.
Anyway, on the topic of Omega, aka Rebel Akima, his behavior is a bit more validated but it isn't excused. Him being a jerk (and eventually getting killed a few chapters ago) lines up a bit better, but I still think he deserved it. lol
All that aside,
we finally get to see Silence's face!
With that laid out: this manhwa also depicts dragons as big bads. They're terrifying and are going to drive humanity to extinction. You see one? Run!
Mr. Main Character is a little kid who, by the end of the manhwa, is not even 20. tbh, I forgot how long it's been but "under a decade" sounds right. He, and a bunch of other kids, are transported to a training facility to use their "magic powers" to fight against the dragons. Once they're past the preliminary training and verified to continue, they get aged up to adult bodies. There are times when you remember during a conversation that "this character is like 12" and it makes more sense.
It is depressing. Yes. Extinction is another concept that's used in stories as a plot framing device for "things are miserable" and that's it. Not in this manhwa where the line is "things are miserable and depressing to the degree we're weaponizing children because there IS no other choice. We don't even have enough time to let them just grow up normally."
Things advance and progress further as the mysterious side of the war takes the stage more. What are dragons? Where do they come from? Why are they driving us extinct? After all, you cannot win a war against a mythical enemy that seems to just respawn infinitely.
What about Mr. Main Character? What makes him special? Well, that's a joy of reading this manhwa: he is only kinda special. His specialty is maintaining a stable mind, making critical decisions and commanding others (who grow to respect him and listen to his orders without a word).
Do I recommend it? If you can't get over the premise, especially how they're mistreating kids, then give it a pass. Otherwise, I do recommend it.
What is this anyway?
Random people get isekai'd random in random groups into this world that's just one big dungeon. They start at level (as in stage) 1, some people die but others make it through to level 2, where the process continues. Mr. Main Character has one skill: purify. Good for food and water. Oh, he fell down a spiked pit trap to die near the end of stage 1. Luckily, he didn't get impaled on the spikes and immediately died but he is bleeding out. As he's bleeding out, the stage is cleared, all contestants are fully healed and move onto stage 2 but wait, he lived, got healed, but he's still here on stage 1?
So, he bugs out the game. With this, he starts struggling in his own way, trying to survive and figure out what to do to go home. And so his attention and focus turn to survival. Need food, water, shelter... well, we're stuck in this hole of the pitfall, so may dig to make a tunnel? With bare hands because there are no tools.
And now things take a turn upwards: Ding! New skill unlocked!
I will say, this manhwa is a master of letting you think one way but pushing another and this was highlighted when this very skill was used offensively for the first time over after 100 chapters. lol
The manhwa progresses with wandering through the mysterious other world, what happened, why is this dungeon thing happening, etc etc etc. I think it's well done and overall I'm somewhat reminded of Greatest Estate Developer in a good way. It isn't as great as GED, mind, but it starts pushing that boat out
If I have any complaints, it is kinda slow. It is pretty long but that's just because I didn't sit around and binge read like I usually do. This is very much a personal problem; I'm busy IRL due to reasons. /shrug
I do recommend it.
Every hour, he can speed himself up by 6,000% for a minute.
And every minute, he can stop time for a single second.
I was kinda hoping his "as long as I believe I can win, I'll revive infinitely" thing was the "Second" ability.
inb4: "micro-second" then "day," "month" to "year" and continuing to "decade," century" and "millennia" lol

There no way she'll join up as the helper though. lol
