From ToD&G, if he did nothing, this would've resolved one way or the other, but he knows that "doing nothing" isn't an option. What will he do? Mediate? Would Wuyue accept that? In the novel, Grid doesn't put on the entire Dignity-boosting gear all at once. It's funny because he's not paying any attention to the Count, who is behind him, poised to attack. The Count stops when some dignity-boosting gear is on, thinks about it, confirms "nope. you're not my king" internally -> goes for another attack. Grid is like "I should make the best first impression!" and puts on the rest of his dignity-boosting gear -> and the Count stops again, gives up, etc.

"Duke of Wisdom" is both Grid's Class and also a Title. "Great Magician" -> as in "Legendary Great Magician" -> as in Braham's class.

There are a bunch of "Duke Titles." Each of them has a pretty game-changing effect involved.
Duke of Wisdom deals with magic -> and if someone uses magic to attack you, you have a chance to break the spell and if you do, there's a chance to cast it yourself back at them.

Then there's Duke of Fire -> self explanatory. Helps Grid with blacksmithing. At one point, in like 1,500 novel chapters or something, Grid sets aflame the entire smithy with fire so hot that no one else could approach and it is slowly melting the entire smithy? Why to smelt a mineral that a dragon used as uhh... a bit of a toothpick or something? I forget the details; it was stuck in the wall in a dragon's liar, and the dragon was a fire dragon, sooooooooo it is was pretty fire resistant. Would've been impossible without this title. It made a really nice sword.

And the last one I can recall off the top of my head: Duke of Virtue -> which allows Grid to spare NPCs (he literally cannot finish swinging his sword to kill them. He tried, repeatedly. lol) where the system goes "bingo bongo -> this NPC is now an ally." First time it popped off was against a Vampire Noble who broke the curse on himself. Grid was like "but... but I wanna kill him and get EXP AND LOOT!" Vampire: "He's sparing me when I'm so desperate to stay alive! I'll follow him forever!" lol

Two more details: 1) these Duke titles have effects that synergize with one another for greater effects. Make no mistake: Overgeared is a power fantasy for Grid and the author cooks and cooks and cooks up a storm to boost Grid in all sorts of ways.
and 2) Obviously, there is more to these titles, like downsides and other stuff. I never give 100% of the information to the stuff I yap about. There are more Duke Titles and more times they're directly useful.

I think a really funny incident is when in a tournament (not the correct context, but close enough) -> some dude is like "check it out! I'm awesome! See my ultimate earth magic!" and Grid's Duke of Wisdom pops off, breaks the spell and casts it back in the dude's face. Get absolutely destroyed! lol

Well, he has a choice to make. He seriously believed that the sect leader wasn't... tyrannical. He is.

I dunno why, but I thought this was a manhwa. It's a manga. 95% of the manga is quick one chapter gag reels about a princess getting coerced into spilling important secrets about her kingdom to help the demons win the war.
Coercion tactics like food. Also food. There's food. Did I mention food? It's like 85% food. They're not even starving her for it to be effective. The remaining 15% of the time is "cute" or some other silly reason.

It's a cozy manga.

The highlighted genres are: Comedy and Slice of Life. While nothing that matters fundamentally changes between the chapters, there is some character growth for side characters, like the Demon King's daughter who slowly grows up and gets some confidence because the princess sympathizes with how pathetic she is -> and divulges important secrets such as "the cipher to decrypt messages of the royal army" -> but the king is like "this is her first success. I'll frame it and hang it on my wall instead of use it to win the war." If you reach this point in the manga but you're still taking the manga seriously, then I dunno what to tell you... "you're in the wrong place?" maybe?

Also, I guess Fantasy is also an important genre because these demons make IRL humans look like absolute freakin' monsters.

I skipped 200 chapters from chapter 71 to 271. I can tell you confidently that if those 200 chapters didn't exist, I wouldn't have noticed.
