Who says this about people, generally? Let alone in this situation? Sure, it's kinda in conjunction for them to take care of themselves, but SAYING THIS?

She's suffering from a combination of victim blaming and survivor's guilt. Must be miserable...

That is to say: the people who are to blame are pinning all the blame on her, despite the fact that she is very much a victim of their actions
and
she is questioning why she survived when no one else did - pondering if things would be better if she died along with them, or instead of them
