Oh for crying out loud... I got baited and I fell for it, HARD! I genuinely had the thought of "wow, the emperor is somewhat starting to become a normal human being!"

aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand then the rest of the chapter happened.

Seriously, this emperor just sees people's usefulness and nothing else. He has not changed whatsoever.

Bro,

He really thinks he's gonna get that, huh?

To be honest, if Zhou Fan can use you, he'll probably pay you with that set after getting some use out of you... But if not, then you're more likely to die.

I am curious what the old man's end goal is... and if he'd turn on Zhou Fan if he decides to leave later on...

Also, I dunno how ya'll pronounce "Zhou Fan." I just recently learned that "Zh" is pronounced "J."
I don't like transliteration/romanization of Chinese names to English because it's nearly impossible to know how to pronounce stuff correctly just by looking at them. Also see:

Why am I bringing this up? Well, APPARENTLY "Zhou" is effectively pronounced as "Joe." Have a nice day.

I'm seeing these candles and I'm thinking of the candles Mr. Main Character found in the water -> that formed whirlpools, trapping people. Hmm...

A completed work that I looked into. 10 chapters in and I can confirm that this is, without any shred of doubt -> a complete comedy. A clownfest that starts off without taking anything seriously -> and maintains that pretty well.

You might question "it took you how many chapters to get to that conclusion? It's obvious from chapter ONE!" Well, I gave it the benefit of the doubt as some works try to took people in with dumb comedy in the first chapter or two -> and then start picking things up.

But nah. It doesn't happen; it's comedy and literal memes:

Also, Mr. Main Character is 15 years old which... sigh...

Can confirm this has reached at least chapter 349.
I can add that it is incomplete aaaaaaaaand I can also say that as far as I can tell, it hasn't updated in almost a year.

Hiatus? Discontinued (translation)? I dunno.

Overall, for a cultivation manhua, it is... fine. General run-of-the-mill quality for this genre.

I do wanna ask:
1) What's the new job Mr. Main Character picked after gambler?
2) How long is the remaining cooldown on his extra life?

and importantly, 3) How do people get stronger than "having maxed out all the stats?" This question in particular bothers me since it's such a big deal, but not enough detail or attention is drawn to it. The only thing I can do to deal with this quandary is just say "well, the character who is stronger is decided because the author said so" which... I don't like this.

This is a manhwa focused on outing a corrupt politician who is cartoonishly evil (until you consider that he's less evil than IRL billionaires) through the proper and legal methods - instead of just kicking the door down, shooting him and everyone around him with a gun.

Mr. Main Character is Kim Whee Woo. Eventually they remove the "W" and it becomes "Kim Hee Wu" which is a lot less fun to say. Anyway, Chapter 1 starts off with Mr. Main Character going after Mr. Corrupt Politician, fails and dies. The only supernatural (and unexplained) plot point happens: he gets a second chance, waking back up in his high school as a kid (younger than 18). Having promised to defeat the corrupt politician, he starts immediately preparing in as many ways as possible.

What this manhwa does right is show off how subtle some actions done by corrupt politicians -> can lead to massive effects. You will learn that random events that you barely register -> have huge consequences on the reality of the situation. This manhwa also shows off just how ABSURDLY robust the defenses of corrupt politicians are. You'd imagine having complete, proper and direct evidence of their corruption (including orders to kill someone) would destroy them, but nope. This also applies in reality.

Anyway,
1) The plot is well executed
2) Characters are absurdly well written and this manhwa refuses to write up a character and abandon them
2.5) If you're bad with Korean names, you might struggle a bit, but the translator did add screenshots of characters sometimes, which I thought was really nice
3) It is NOT axed. I dunno why you'd imagine so. The plot wastes no time and ends when it finishes the plot
3.5) If you're looking forward to a beach episode or a chapter or two where nothing happens because "Mr. Main Character has to wait for a few days/weeks until a big event happens," then you're in the wrong place. Characters do get along and go out for drinks, but again, it doesn't waste time establishing this -> and it moves on
4) A pretty satisfying satisfying ending. Mr. Corrupt Politician did not kill himself but his legacy is forever ruined. Hooray!

If it fails anywhere, it would be romance. Thing is, there is a valid excuse: if you were in Mr. Main Character's position, would you risk it? Not just "giving Mr. Corrupt Politician a target to attack you" - but also the supernatural element: you don't really know if you'll just poof after you accomplish your goal. Not a deal breaker overall.

Overall, a 9/10.
It is niche!
If you don't want to read a lot; if you don't like the idea of "barely any action (like combat) happens;" then this is probably not for you.

These guys are so stupid.
In front of your very eyes, you literally saw your plans fall apart one at a time; yet you're standing around all haughty and proud, claiming "You sealed off your escape!" to the enemy? This same enemy who is so far ahead of you, you can't even see them. What you're seeing is an afterimage or a hallucination or something.

You'd imagine this is a problem, and it is called Fratricide when friendly fire actually kills your ally -> but it isn't super common.

I was ignorant... thinking "Lin Feng" is pronounced "Lin Feng"
only to learn you don't pronounce the "n" in his "Lin" - nor do you pronounce "Feng" like "Fang" but with an "e" -> but you pronounce it as "Foe" which... what?
https://i.postimg.cc/SK6P51g1/i.png
What is this? French? Where the French word for "bird" is "oiseau" and it is pronounced "wazo" <- no really. This is real and equally as stupid, if you ask me.
