but, unlike Mr. Main Character, Choyun's backstory isn't sad or painful.

Mr. Main Character and his only friend (Yakuza) were getting severely bullied. They were stripped of most of their cloths and forced to kneel in the girl's locker room at one point. And we directly see them get attacked, including Yakuza getting a knee to the face (which, in this manhwa's logic, didn't cause bleeding nor did it break his glasses, but it's still bad, like ouch).

So far, Choyun is... just a bored megalomaniac.
Are we about to discover something to change this conclusion?

Simple question: Choyun has no reservations on literally killing everyone to make himself stronger. If unfettered, he will use his absorption skill on literally everyone, no exceptions, until they're comatose (or dead) like Daniel and Haru's friend.
There is no meme here: Choyun's goal is to maximize his card gain (and point gain for the card buffet) and absorb as many people as possible.

Also, if anyone is wondering, 568 kilograms is 1,252 pounds. An American Bison weighs a bit more than that. Also, the average car weighs ~4000 pounds.

Ya know, I don't understand people complaints about plot armor and "asspulls" to get stronger. If they only applied to Mr. Main Character - or if they only applied to the good guys, then yeah. I'd get sick of it because there is no tension when losing -> because oh look, something is gonna happen. But that's just not true. We've had many incidents where people just lose, period. Furthermore, we've also have plenty of incidents where the bad guys also get to enjoy a plot armor or "asspull" moment.

Honestly, it's fairly balanced and it's been a mainstay trope of this manhwa from really early on.

Ya know, for all of Choyun's reign, he got too strong too fast. He never really struggled. His experience being fairly pathetic low was called out by Daniel and seeing how that fight went, it seems to be really accurate.

With that said, Mr. Main Character has done nothing but struggle, so if their stats are tied, we know who has the edge.

He has to be the author's favorite character. No two ways to put it.
