Well we got a lot of fighting in the previous few chapters, so now we get a few chapters of early Hollywood.... type?.... television and movie.... marketing? I'm not sure why this is the balance of events the author's chosen but it is certainly what we're reading.

When he was a child trapped in the shed, he escaped a few times and she gave him food and offered him help. The reason you forgot of course is because the pacing of this series is insanely slow as far as plot threads, anytime they set something up they will not pay it off for at least 30 chapters and a lot of the plot threads they set up at the very start of the series are only starting to actually affect the main characters now - this one included.

Fate refuses to let this man have even an ounce of clout in this timeline.

Either he lied or he jail broke that thing somehow.

My favorite ones are the ones that have genuinely no real logic to follow because whatever lesson they're teaching is really tangential to the story itself, or less obvious to a modern audience. (Like it'll be a whole long story about child abandonment and cannibalism and the only lesson is "don't go in the woods")

This just makes me remember when Gintama did this fairy tale and they couldn't get past how wack it was from a "learning a moral" point of view ...at least that's what I think I'm remembering- like I think Shinpachi and gintoki were explaining it and kagura and the gang(as well as gintoki himself) kept pointing out weird things about the logic and decisions involved.... To my memory, demons originated from demon beasts and humans never trusted them as a result, currently though it's mostly just racism and competition for resources.

This series has such a strange energy about it, because it really does feel like the main character is just doing s*** with very little serious motivation...but it kind of works here, like it's one of those overpowered characters that treats whatever world they're in as if it's some kind of video game except they at least provide a reason and viewpoint by which he would and have it sort of make sense. It's fairly comedic and relatively light by nature of the setup. My actual only complaint is that that aimlessness might become tiresome if it continues for an extended period, especially when you consider that his blasé attitude kind of disregards the fact that everyone else in that world are real people that live and die (nearly entirely negated by the fact that he regardless of what role he's playing moves towards good alignment rather it be chaotic lawful or neutral) it's a fun read and a fun time - though don't expect to get super hype or dragged into a deep narrative - this is more of a light read where the main appeal is kind of just seeing where stuff goes.

I give it 15 maybe 20 chapters before she just likes him genuinely. Either way she doesn't have a shot.

I mean unless he cuts his hands off it's pretty good proof, like I imagine as a martial artist it's probably harder to forge a handprint than it is a signature.

Like they went out of their way to talk in circles instead of just getting right to the actual solution.
